What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I'm in heaven, Wayne. The difference in power between the two engines is immediately noticeable and hardly subtle.

i swapped out the chrome trim on the 5.0 for the 3.7's sportier gunmetal trim. Brakes, lights, and aero kit all swapped over, too.

Tint and and matte black vinyl door trim install is on Wednesday. :good:

Sounds great, isn't that power nice.
So did you change out the whole rear bumper because of the hole required to mount the rear under protector.
 
Yeah man. I'm thinking of ditching the murdered look (one reason why I didn't swap the black door handles) and go with a hyperblack/black chrome trim set up. Also thinking of having the wheels repainted hyperblack and redoing all of the emblems, too. I haven't fully committed to the idea yet, but I've been thinking about going this route for a good while. We shall see.

I credit Wayne's kick ass wheel paint job as a motivating factor.
 
Thanks Patrick, I would actually like that a bit better. With the murdered everything disappears. It would give your wheels and trim a more defined look over totally blacked out on your black car.
 
I agree with Wayne, the murdered out theme is kind of played out now. I used to black out all my cars and I got tired of it. In Cali there are so many cars driving around that are murdered out so it just got boring.
 
Ha! I've noticed that when taking pictures I have to get the angle just right because, like you just said, all the details end up disappearing!

This is why I hate straight black wheels. They just blend into the shadows.

I dislike badging on vehicles as well, this is just because cars are easier to clean, polish, and wax without them on. I debadge all our vehicles regardless of their model.

You know whats funny. for the past week ive been thinking of sending out my wheels & roof rails to get dipped in black chrome. Or as close as i can get to that without it being completely blacked out! Good to know everyone agrees with this idea.
