What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

i wanted to buy one of these but not sure if my neighbors would like it... also not sure if legal to install in my neighborhood

Your neighborhood have an anti-awesome ordinance?

Tim, I thought of getting something like that, but I was concerned with strong winds and snow load, let us know how that works out.

I think it will be fine in the wind. Its medium gauge steel poles bolted together, then tied to 16" auger stakes at each corner. I'd be skeptical of subjecting it to any decent amount of snow though. The cover is essentially a heavy gauge tarp...

Nice! Make sure it's real tight and let us know how far you can launch an apple!

It already launches apples into the side yard, which is a big win.

nah theres some law about portable shelters about how big it can be untill you need a permit i believe. i should find out

Raised the car a bit and turned the shocks a couple clicks more stiff. Still rubs, but better. Also washed it since the weather was good.

Rear view, I like how wide the tires are.

How it fits after raising 1/2".

-2.5 camber from this ride height. Toe is correct so tire wear is fine.

U know if u raise up the car you tweak the alignment a little bit. Up means less camber and possibly more outward toe. Once u have it dialed in, your might want to get another alignment to confirm.

I've had it aligned at several different heights already. Much bigger height differences than what I adjusted this time and the toe barely changed. I may go back at some point to have more negative dialed into the front. I had to pull the 15 mm spacers when I went to this ride height. If front camber matched the rear, they could go back on.

Lookin' good shadow. I plan on raising my coils up a bit today (probably an inch, lol) and I really need to get an alignment done.

this past saturday i managed to do front n rear pads and rotors on the FX severely hungover.. pain in the ass to do with a splitting headache and had trouble on one of the caliper bolts but i managed to get it done with no serious problems...

on sunday i installed a new door handle on my driver side rear door.. the original handle broke clean off.. took about 10 mins to get the door panel off and find the broken piece, install and put back together...

Thanks. You have to raise it for winter I assume? Glad we don't deal with ice/snow too much down here. After I get a few other projects completed I'll probably drop my car off and have the quarter panels professionally worked on. They're already as flat as they'll get w/ just a roller. But what I'd like to do is have them massaged slightly and pulled a tiny bit like what turbo did to the guy who is tucking 24"s. Since it's under the plastic, it won't be noticable but it'll probably buy me another 5-10mm. I'm trying to get fitment like cars can achieve. That's one thing that bugs me about the FX, even with decent clearance, it still rubs. On a car, when the fender is rolled flat, it's literally flat. On the FX, it's just sort of flat. Ideally, I'd like to be able to tuck a tiny bit of tire and not rub. The front I can just pinch the fenders, but the rear will require a little work.

Getting new wheels in spring, and hopefully I can go a little bit more aggressive and wider. But this is my wife's daily, so it can't rub and scrape all day long like the herrafrush guys.

Went past the point of no return on my quad projector project. Yes, that is the OEM shroud in my hand.

To be replaced with this.

Define barely in terms of number please. I never saw the number differences and I'm curious.
