Aiya's FX

bumper cars.... ouch. (note to self, no insurance in track event)

hence, I rather track a motorcycle.

sorry, rich for jacking the photo thread.

There are several insurance companies that you can purchase insurance specifically for HPDE and they do it on a per event basis and they're very reasonable. (they'll insure your bike too fyi)

Do check with your individual policy as some companies do cover HPDE events. Otherwise, K is right. I got a quote of less than $250 for one day coverage at Lime Rock.

Actually, virtually ALL insurance companies have caught on and will deny coverage for on-track incidents. There are RUMORS (nothing confirmed as of yet that I'm aware of) that some insurance companies will drop your coverage altogether for participating in an HPDE event which quite honestly is BS because it helps in your driving abilities.

Did you take out the coverage? I would've driven the FX and pushed you to drive harder had I known ;)

Haha...No, I didn't opt for the additional insurance. I would have definitely pushed harder has I taken it though.

wouldnt really matter would it in some cases. That G got smacked & he wasnt pushing at all. You think he has any recourse for collection, or is it just a 'racing accident'?

from what I heard of track friends back years ago, it's just SOL accident. normal insurance will not cover. unsure if certain tracks even offer HPDE. I could be wrong and learn something new.

Screw the Evo and the NSX, I want to know what happened to the G! They had no pics, but it looked like that dude got nailed in the drivers door, and there was a guy in there.

That accident is partially why insurance companies nationwide won't cover HPDE anymore. From what I heard, there were major lawsuits because the evo driver and the RS4 (I think... the video car) were such tools. They've been blacklisted by every driving organization on the east coast. All three cars (evo, nsx, and g) were total losses. There were no major injuries. I don't *THINK* the G driver was in the car at the time but I may be wrong; I do know for sure that there were no major injuries and no one even went to the hospital.

Looks good and I see you still have your tech sticker on ;)

No pics of Dave? I didn't get a chance to call him yesterday... this afternoon definitely
Dave and I got so caught up chatting and driving that we took zero pics. Haha. I had to run back to some of the spots he showed me so I could snap some shots. =P

I keep forgetting to bring a razor with me to take that sticker off. It is slowly peeling itself away though. Haha.
