Stage 4 or TechnoSquare Tune???

I would like to take this opportunity to again thank each and everyone of you for all the support, insight, and kind words. I have learned a lot from all of you guys and without your help, I wouldn't be able to do this.

I hope I am able to return the favor some day, if not at least be somewhat worthy of this wonderful community.:adore:

The Stillen charger is a loud charger no matter how you look at it, enough noise to scare other drivers, little children, and dogs.

I wish I had Twin turbos instead, maybe someday when my wife finishes school....ugh. Still have the WRX though for the days when I want crazy power.

The clip I've added does not do justice to how loud this thing is. When Tadashi was tuning it, the neighbors came to see what's making all the noise. I was standing there with rookie and I had to cover my ears. It's so loud that it completely covers the sound of the exhaust past 6krpm.

BTW, my original choice was the 2005 WRX STI. I went to drive it and the dealer in Van Nuys said that they would not let me test drive until I'm ready to buy. The new Charger was just released and was $4000 over sticker. My wife liked the charger and the Hummer H3, but the dealers were out. I was debating between the WRX and the Mini S. Since I could not drive either the Charger or the WRX, I went down the street and tried the FX. The rest is History as they say.

New Parts are in.

Mods will begin as soon as the last part gets in.

1. 4awg rounding wires.
2. Transmission Cooler w/Fan
3. Engine Oil Cooler.

This is the kit that is used on some of the more popular VB mods. http://gtmotorsports.com/product.php?productid=16574&cat=262&page=1

There was a tech at transgo that used to install the kits for vendors. Not sure exactly what is done, I've had mine for 2+ years now I think and it's been all good. I would not do the torque converter really. It will mostly create more heat to deal with. You're RWD so final drive changes are a great avenue to look down later.

Rookie, can a transmission valve body upgrade be done together with a 3.9 final gear change.....or is it advisable.....??

Yup. The VB upgrades started being looked into by the boosted 5AT guys because they would hit the rev limiter when shifting. The VB quickens the shift lag, with a shorter final drive you will be accelerating through every gear faster than stock and the chances of hitting the rev limiter will increase.

Okey so you wouldn't do them both then as i understand you correctly....??

What would you prefer on a N/A....??

If it's an either or, I would do final drive. It is a constant drive train change, whether you are in 1st or 5th the FX will feel lighter on it's feet.

No it doesn't have to be an either. I just though it wasn't advisable as you say i will get into the rev limiter more sooner. So i thought that was bad, sorry if i misunderstood you.

If you say it's best to do bought i'll take that in mind for sure....:top:

Rook so with the 3.9 i will Increase hitting the Rev limiter. But this isn't what you want is it....??
Is that why you have a 3.7...??

Doc...you having a FX45 and don't seem to be F/I....why did you go for the Torque converter...??

I got a 3.7 cause it was cheap. The 3.9 is a little pricier than the 3.7. 3.3 is very tall for us. Huge difference in feel when I converted to the new pumpkin. It's an expensive mod but seriously, if you want the FX to feel lighter on it's feet the final drive does that in every gear.

Yup, just as psiclne has stated. I wanted talked to numerous people about this and wanted a better launch off the line. Its great for torque braking with an automatic.

Specific advisable for a AWD or RWD, as i have a RWD but assume it might work best on a AWD....??
