The Drop Thread (What's your drop?)

Hi
Is there any rubbing with your wheel/tire and spring combo during extreme cornering? Also were they able to get optimum alignment all around with this combo?
Thanx
RACER-X:iS:

My setup does rub and I had to shave my front and rear wheel well trim. I just had my alignment done look here ///4006

Shaving

Thanx for the info guys. I must say very technical and clean work. I can remember the baseball bat days LOL. Its gone a long ways since then.

Plenty of info on springs, but what about shocks? Should I stay OEM or should I get something like Tokico Illuminas or Bilsteins?

pelon, details man... I'm having a set of front struts done with 1 3/4" drop built into them, should put me at 14 1/2" with the cut H&R's, might go back to uncut springs though to bring it to ~15" total if it winds up too low... how did you do yours??? 15 7/8" is pretty low, probably one of the lowest with stock modded suspension I've seen so far...

EDIT: details about modded struts can be found here: ///6157

i have no idea whats going on. Where are you guys measuring from?

From Page 1
HOW TO MEASURE:

Please measure your drop from the center of your rim to the bottom of the fender.
Try to measure on a flat level surface.

FAQ's:

What if people have different size wheels/tires combo compared to OEM specs? wouldn't that throw off the data?
-No, because the center of the hub to the fender would stay the same.

how should I measure accurately? the bottom of the red line. that can throw off the reading a few 1/16 of an inch.

I think trying to figure out the center of the wheel is the hardest part and most inaccurate. What I came up with seems more accurate, unless you can give me some pointers on how to measure.

A - (B/2) = ride height

A=total height from ground to wheel well
B=total height of rims and tire.
