It should be fine, just dont over oil it. make sure to let it dry completely before putting it back in so theres no chance any left over oil can pass through your intake tubing.Well I have 2 that I switch out - so when one is dirty, I take that one out and put in the clean one. And its about that time for a switch, so I was wondering if its bad for me to oil it up (with the K&N cleaning kit).

i was told that Nissan filters shouldnt be oiled and the oil can burn out the MAF...:err:

No, I'm not saying the filter SHOULD be oiled. It has a small amount of oil on it from the factory. You don't add oil.
And if you want we can argue this all day, but the people that come in here all the time because of using a paper air filter that is after market has burned out their mass air sensor will disagree with you, along with the master techs that work here.

its not really arguing, its more about sorting out the facts
if you had read my other post you would have seen this...
any more confusion?
hmm and i was told the opposite...that Nissan filters are paper and dont have oil and that if you use oiled filters it can burn out the MAF sensor.
Someone want to clear this up?
