Custom Grounding Kit

....for some reason in all the DIY's for grounding kits, nobody grounds to the right side of the chassis. (its the bottom wire of the two)

Nicely done.
I also just installed a 10 wire 'grounding gear' kit, & it also includes that same ground to chassis. There are a more points, if you want to add additional grounds. I will post pics later. I've also got all my grounds, including the two coming from that harness, grounding to one bolt at the front of cam, whereas you chose 3 diff points. This is one of gordon's directs. everything should move over to one point, with a supplied longer bolt.

I have that ground also... Picture 8 in the write-up.

Maybe we can combine all of our information and make a complete clear write-up.. Cool

Sounds like a plan. For any skeptics, found this mod isnt placebo. Grounding works. FX is at its next level of smooth. While the Grounding Gear kit is fairly pricey, I've been able to get some forum member pricing set up with him for those that are interested.

defiantly isnt placebo and it does work:cool:

Jeff: i can see the cable now, looks like the stealth job works:wink:

Dave: some pics for the other cables would be good, i think we need a complete DIY! And for the 3 points in the front, i dont see how it would make that much of a difference if i moved all the wires to one bolt. They are all connected to the aluminum thing right? plus it looks cooler (is cooler even a word?)

That's what he said to do, so dunno. Works for me, but the added length in provided bolt is needed.

I did the 7 point ground mod and I felt quite a difference. I found another ground point which I haven't seen covered in any write up so I'll post pics of that one.

After doing the mod, I noticed the transmission is smoother, the engine feels like it has more torque, i guess due to better grounding for the igniters, revs faster, HIDs don't flicker or there's no burst of light at first, they take less time to brighten. All electronics seem to be getter their amperage. So overall, this mod is definitely worth it!

btw, my buddy who's got the 98 Maxima, I noticed has a grounding wire twice if not three times thicker than ours. So i can see how the FX needs this.

well officially sold on this grounding kit mod after reading a few threads and researching on my own. so i'm getting this!

wow The Mod Bug really got me really good cant believe that by the end of november i will have at least 6 mods done!!.. lol Darn you IS! just kidding.

thank you so much for all the important info and great mods you guys share with the rest of us..

I purchased the kit from Gordon Gee, it has been riding around in my organizer for two weeks while i have been looking for someone to do the install (no garage, no time, meow) looking forward to getting the job done, to date I have felt really ungrounded.
