What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Replaced Valve Timing Covers on my 2011 FX35.. Was throwing codes for camshaft position sensor.

Has been stalling on me for the last 2 years with the AC on in stop and go traffic.

2600$ dollars at the dealership. Came with a free jar of Vaseline.

103,000 miles on her. I have had her for 45,000 of those. Only major issue.

Ok guys my H&R springs and my rear diffuser are both in. I have an appointment Monday morning @ 7am in Tulsa at the dealership for the springs and I'll try to get the rear diffuser put on next week as well. Pics to follow.

I just changed the oil in the engine, front and rear diffs, and transfer case. I was surprised to see how clean the differtials oil was. The transfer case oil fluid was pretty dirty. I am just coming up to 200,000 kms in my 09 FX50.

Replaced the oem all weather mats with Weathertechs, replaced all of the interior bulbs with white LEDs from PecisionLED and bought new rotors and pads on sale at Tirerack (Slotted stoptech rotors and Hawk HPS pads) for next spring. I was actually surprised how small the pads are compared to the size of the calipers.

JiBay - really like the blacked out window trim. I’ve been thinking about doing that myself and likely will now. There is too much chrome, and too many different silver colors on the FX. They needed to make the various trims match better in color.

Really easy just buy the latest new apple tv on ebay (much cheaper than apple), car power inverter, and HDMI to RCA:
Apple TV (4th generation) 64GB - picked up sealed new on ebay for $125 (you can buy 32gb version if you want cheaper)
Amazon.com: SNAN 200W Car Power Inverter DC 12V to AC 110V with 3 AC Outlets and Dual USB Charging Ports: Automotive or similar
Amazon.com: Musou 1080P HDMI to RCA Composite AV Video Audio Converter: Home Audio & Theater or similar

About ~$150 and you got apple tv in your car, so I stream movies, etc all while driving. Everyone with iphones, ipads can connect to it easily, stream music, etc. Been using it for months a love it.
you still using the Apple TV on your Infiniti?

This weekend I decided to work on the headlights. I was tempted to buy new ones but with a few hours of work I can make em look good as new. The ballast in the driver side where so wet they would not work, the cover was holding moisture inside as well. While I was at it I replaced all the bulbs with 6k "ish" fogs,HID and DRL and license plate light's. This was a relatively cheap repair just a pain in the butt removing the headlights and taking them apart. I am happy with the end result as it saved me roughly $500. Cost about $60 in bulbs and sealant.

Love the diffuser, but wondering if it would work with the tow hitch installed. Do you think it would sit too low?

Hey Guys,

First post here, recently just bought a 2016 Infiniti QX70s Moonlight Storm Trooper.

I just changed all my 168 interior bulbs to LED 6000k.
I changed my reverse lights to LED 7440 6000k
I also upgraded the fog lights to 6000k LED
And the 168 bulb under the high beam projector as well as the license plates 168 bulb too.

And I am currently waiting for my Ferrari Red all season weather mats to be delivered as well.

Also the dealership wrapped me up with brand new Yokohama Geolander X-CV
265/45R/21’ tires before I drove away with it! Super quiet and handle amazing.

Couldn’t be more excited about this vehicle!

I have been itching to replace the wood trim. Decided to go with carbon fiber dipping. This is a lengthy process that wraps the trim in real carbon fiber cloth, a few layers of epoxy and finally a few layers of clear coat. I went with the honeycomb carbon fiber and it looks great in my opinion.

I didn’t hate the wood trim I just didn’t think it fit the personality of the car.
