What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I'm not a good one to measure by. Canyon runs & some track days. They dont last like All Seasons, but they wear uniform & I get all the life out of them. They're a really good value
 
Thanks Paul. Any drone with the HKS? I got me a 17 QX70S and trying to nail down an exhaust. Since the HKS is for the G, assuming you extended the tail pipe?

Hey brother I`m sorry for the late response. Yes, between 1500 to about 2500 there`s some drone. The transmission is ecu`ed in my opinion more for fuel economy than really sporty driving so it always up shifts to higher gears which causes drone. Using the paddles or shifter to change gears eliminates the drone because you can manually stay in lower gears. I hope this helps. I`m not best at explaining these things so I hope it makes sense.
I bought one for the G37 sedan and I didnt have to make any changes or extensions.
 
Trying to figure out how to load a video before I continue making videos to no avail... This is a cold start about a week ago when it was much colder out. You see the white smoke I was talking about also in this video. Let me know if your able to view it and it works. Also is there a specific thread I should be posting these videos to? Like an exhaust note specific thread or would you all prefer I just make a new thread with all the videos. (if this works anyway)

Sounds kinda like mine did on a cold start. Mine might have had a bit more bark/bite/throatiness. Could simply be a difference in microphone location, EQ, etc. Just looks like moisture evaporation to me.

Could be it, always hard to tell in videos. When I was searching and listening to videos between Invidia and Ark I must of played the videos 100 times. some sounded exactly the same between the two LoL.
Thanks for the hint on what it could be. I noticed it to be more now after the install. I'm going to guess its due to the larger diameter plus a tune would be needed after a few more bolt-ons in the next few months.

Thanks PJ. Now that I know it worked time to convince the wife to step out the house and record some videos :rolleyes:. Looking to do some drive bys, take offs, in-cabin windows up, in-cabin windows down (this one might be a tad hard to record since the wind is going to interfere) all are going to be done in Auto.

I did notice the drone to minimize much more when using the shifter or paddles. What RPM do you normally aim to shift up, just out of curiosity?
 
Just ordered the black fender ducts for the fx35 from infinitipartsdeal.comi had to get it be the left side one was on there for $7.49 and the ride side for $164.93.

Hey Dio, I really just shift more by sound rather than rpm. I just try to keep it in that "sweet spot" that has the least amount of drone possible.

Hey also check out my garage for all the upgrades I did. Man I spent WAY more money than I should have but I wanted it anyway. And my wife totally has no idea of how much all this stuff costs. :)

It took me some time to figure out the part #s again. But now I realize you ordered the dark finish chrome vents.

since my ride is black I’d prefer the color matching ones which are still about the same price from last year.
