took me 4 days total. Didn't come out perfect(leaking brake fluid from the calipers messed up the paint in a couple spots, lesson learned:at-wits-end.

The beginning



Sanded with a 600 grit


Painted black(for Akebono logos) with a Rustoleum High Temperature Paint



Akebono vinyl decals


Wet sanded with 1000 grit


Akebono decals applied






Painted with VHT SP402 Burnt Copper High Temperature Paint


Took off the decals and wet sanded with a 1000 grit again


Final stage, panted with Clear Coat High Temperature Paint


The results(thinking of redoing everything)

Question, does the wetsanding before the clear enhance the shine or the smoothness? Did you wetsand the clear also?

Mask it and do give those bad spots some light sanding and the a couple coats should do it .

Yes it does, I think. I'm planning to wet sand the clear and then polish it also.

I'm still debating how bad are they, I put too many coats already, so I don't know what to do at this point. I will probably will leave everything as is.

1300 shipped and they were just freshly Powdercoated black. Amazing deal.
