Work in Progress!
Not at all. Surprisingly was pretty easy to use. The only minus is a strong chemical smell:thumpdown.:

Nice job on protecting the speaker wires. One comment on the Dynamat though, why not go all the way and lay it on the outer door skin? That what I plan to lay mine, eventually :smug:

Well looks like you just did your "winter project" before winter arrives. What's next? :tongue (2):

Good idea, but Dynamat is kinda pricey... spent around $200 already on Dynamat alone. Usually professional installers put Dynamat inside, outside(what I did) and on a door outer shell(inside, what you recommended)
I sprayed couple plastic outer shells(door and trunk lid) with Boom-Mat($11 for 18 Oz). The overall result came out great, I don't hear road noise anymore, except for my leaking exhaust:banghead:(will replace soon, hopefully).
The sound is amazing loud and clear, so far it's my best installation ever. Need to figure out a good location for the new amp.
The next step is the roof liner(black suede and Boom Mat/Dynamat), I already asked you couple questions about that.

ebay "Fatmat", that's what I use and I find the quality up to par with dynamat.

Super clean job zebra555, really like the attention to detail with your work.

Haha, Andy is referring to my ghetto exposed wires in the doors=) I need to shrink wrap or at least electrical tape them. Man it's getting cold! Where is that heater of yours Andy!

Also did the rewiring again, took couple pictures how messy it is inside and how the relocated screen installed

Ha, like how you even did the bezel of the screen in silver carbon fiber.

Your center speaker is unplugged right and is not used with the new amp? That means you should add a 3rd motorized screen to pop up.... just saying=)

Ready for xmas already with a snowflake on your keychain?

I used FatMat before too, till I read this. Was pretty surprised with the new info:smile (2):

Actually the carbon color is Dark Pewter(CA-421):smile (2):, I'm taking all my installation pictures with crappy iPhone camera(which is always on me).
The center speaker is unplugged and thrown away(the crappiest quality I've ever seen, couldn't believe that it was made in Italy by Bose).
I'm planning to separate the Pioneer touchscreen and DVD mechanism(want to use the factory cd slot), so will see...

BTW, thanks for reminding me earlier to Dynamat under the rear seat, almost forgot about this spot

Hmmm, did I?????:smile (2): man I gotta stay away from Ed for a bit. He can read minds. I thought you said your cousins was screaming at ya about those wires, but he added more to it. Gotta get him clean it up bud.

About that heater, I had plan to install it yesterday after work, but I got a busted hot water heater at my parents to take of. The heater will be installed today!

Sorry Zebra to jack your post.

Zebra, I gotto ask (sorry for my stupidity)..... where the heck is "Mad City"? Just try to figure where you at.

No worries...I'm in Madison, WI. College town(many students call it Mad City)

Andy, I can read your mind across town =)

He was, but then he added to it=)

Just cleaned it up and electrical taped it!

I was wondering about mad city...

Really nice progression of mods you are doing. I need to start posting pics like this. You sure do a lot by yourself. Maybe you can be the "Handy Andy" in your area, lol.

I wish I can do meets like "Handy Andy", but I do live in a apartment complex. All work I'm doing is either in underground/outside parking or in my apartment, and now it's freezing as hell outside:thumpdown.:

Just finished the remote bass control knob for my new 5-Channel amplifier. Installed next to VDC and Snow buttons(unused 3rd button).

Good deal, mine is sitting in my center console. I never adjust mine as I have it to the highest setting I am comfortable with not blowing the OEM bose subwoofers.
