Your experiences with these three tires....

So comparing the Parada Spec X to the YK580's, it basically comes down to whether you want grip or long life.

maybe at where you live but here in Los Angeles, CA the spec x is $200 more than the kooks. As for the hankooks i vouch for them now. Ive had them for under 5k miles already and love em. Wet traction is a plus, cornerings are ok i dont think the sidewalls are stiff enough. Ride is not harsh. Summer traction is really good. The only downside is thread pattern; it is not really wide. I got 275 instead of 265 and there wasn't a much difference in appearance. I was disappointed in that aspect.

That's some seriously questionable pricing then, considering both are less than $200 in 265/50/20 from Discount Tire Direct, with the Hankooks actually costing more but only by $3/tire.

I have the hankook RH06 in size 22" and dont have any complaints about them. Good set of tires in my opinion.

+1..Been running these for 4 yrs...love these tires and will get the same when the time comes.

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party. I've had both the Paradas and the RH06's. Although the Paradas were a great riding and handling tire, their wet and dry traction seemed to diminish fairly quickly. I also had some problems keeping them in balance. I switched to the RH06’s and have had them on for more than 30,000 miles and am extremely happy with them. Although they are considered summer tires, they got me through 2 winters with much more confidence then the Paradas did. They also have more than half of the tread left and I haven’t needed to rebalance them. They’re still fairly quiet and still have a decent amount of grip.

It's interesting to see the varying experiences of each of these tires. I was going to get the RH06's but they're no longer available in Canada due to cupping issues and have been dropped as a model from Hankook's product line per the rep I spoke to.

They said that the RH06's are available only as leftover stock in the US...the RH07 has come out as a replacement but doesn't gain my interest. I ended up going down to the states and picked up a set of Paradas and they're looking sweet and they're made in Japan which brings up my confidence in them. Besides that, the availability of those tires is everywhere so if something ever happens I have better luck getting a set.

With tires, everyone's always going to have different experience based on pavement, driving style, suspension mods, etc. I guess the only way to truly find out is to find a tire that carries a pretty good review and try them out.

Thanks for all your input guys, hope this thread helps anyone else out that's looking for tires

I just got some Spec Xs on a set of Forgestar wheels today. Unfortunately, they couldnt put the lug nuts I bought on because the socket wouldnt fit. >:(

I'll let you know my thoughts on those tires when I get them on the car.

That is funny that the one poster had to get his Paradas rebalanced numerous times. I am still on the original balance that I got when I purchased my 09 FX brand new, I am now running them on my 2010 FX50 and they have never been rebalanced.

I had to buy a special socket with a removable sleeve in order for it to fit the lugs on my rims.

OP, I can see that you took your time making the decision and consulted opinions from other members experiences. Please leave a review on your personal experience with the yokos. I can already imagine that you are going to be thorough.

I actually getting new Hankooks RH06 today. I had my last set for 5 years and love them. The majority of the treads are good but was forced to replace due to bad camber from being lowered.
I got price matched at American Tire Depot from the best price I could find at onlinetire dot com $168

I ordered a Sunex thin wall socket and guess what, its thicker than my regular socket. :at-wits-end:

So far, the Paradas seem to ride pretty well. I do notice that they are fairly sticky, compared to the Michelin LTX m/s2 and Blizzak DMV01. I feel a light shimmy at higher speeds to I'll try to tighten the steering rack adjuster to see if that goes away. I should take a pic of the Forgestar wheels on my car and post that up.
