Before adding tints to the fronts, they never made any squeaks.
Ever since I had 3M tints put on the fronts, I noticed that after it rains and before the car dries up) when you open and/or close the front windows, it squeaks. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, sometimes just one window, sometimes both. I don't think it has anything to do with anything needing lubrication because they are fine when not wet and fine before the tint. I'm not saying it happens ALL the time because after washing the car most of the time it doesn't squeak. In fact, since I got the tint maybe 2-3 months ago, the squeaking only happened 3 times total and it's rained a lot lately. But it's enough for me to ask
because when it does squeak, it's almost as loud as when the brakes squeal when going in reverse and I know I'm going to hear the comment FX50 and windows squeak?
Any ideas? And I don't think the dealer could really help because it started after tint, it's hard to replicate and after dries corrects itself, and they probably would just lubricate more but I'm almost positive it's lubricated enough because it wasn't an issue before tint and sometimes (rarely), I'll see some oil residue on the windows from rolling up/down.
so not sure what to do....
