I keep looking at those wheels, so nice. What size tires front/rear and what's the lip on both of them? I wasn't huge on deep lips, but yours makes me want them...

Hey Bert,

I have a question since I have been addicted to your thread on your FX mods. "How do you modify the wheel well to fit on your new wide body fx?" Every time when I am looking at my engine bay see that wheel well, I always wonder "How did Bert and Viet did the wide body mod with the wheel well?", just out of curiosities, since I can think of no way of hold that wheel well on your custom wide body kit.

:.smile:

^what?
it's either molded aluminum or like a bondo/fiberglass type thing...it supports itself.
was that the question?

There is a custom shop that does new moldings for the wheel wells.

They just actually took the stock wheel well lining and added to it and screwed it on to the sheet metal that flows from the top fender to the interior of the FX...

Ill show you some pics latter.

Looks good. I had my engine bay lined with aluminum then filled and smoothed out. The engine bay gets very dirty if there is no liner. You can my engine bay is basically sealed up like it would be with the oem liners except it is cleaned up.

congrats Bert on your ride. Can't wait to see it in person. One of the best looking FX's around.

Bert, your ride has transformed... That is a blazin ride! I hope everything else goes well for you in finishing up your beauty.

Hey Bert-My wife is under the impression I spend too much time screwing around on IS, would it be cool if I borrowed your ride for a few days to show her a TIGHT example of the objective behind all the research, obsessive searching, and planning?

Hmm.. Sure... Just pay for the flat bed fee to ship it out to Seattle... LOL

Also you can get rookie to help you out. He is your neighbor now..LOL

Fred. I hope all is well with you and your family.

Thanks for the props.

Looking at you Avitar it reminds me when you came over my place.

Good times. C U arround
