Ok, so you all know I got my FX lowered. So now I need to get an allignment.

Is $75.00 a good price? STW in La Habra said they will do it for $75.00. I also told them I'm lowered on 22's and they said that was the price.

Need some feed back.

Thanks in advance.

I think I paid slightly less, but not by much. Is it a Hunter with the lasers & honeycomb panels?

Big word. Sounds OK then. Get some printouts of your readings

You know, I haven't done an alignment now almost 3 weeks after lowering.... Frankly, I haven't noticed an alignment problem, though something is no doubt tweaked a little. Is it really necessary to perform an alignment?

really except for a slight toe tweek the front doesn't get affected all that much with the drop, the rear does a bit though... you probably wouldn't notice much until you start to see uneven tire wear...

okay, I have a question that may or may not be related to the topics... and I apologize for this is like basic autoshop 101 question... anyway... when I'm driving straight... the steering wheel is a bit off center... is that an alignment issue or tire pressure issue?

I have yet to do an alignment after being lowered 2 years on eibach's. I have not noticed any uneven tire wear or any significant off center veering of the vehicle. Only think I have noticed is is slight negative camber in the rear.

But I will most likely do a alignment next year when I have my tires replace.

could be either, but if it's tracking straight & the wheel is off center it's probably an alignment issue. the first thing that's done in any alignment is to center the wheel & then do all compensation from that point....

Yes, you should get it done since work was done on your suspension. You know, just to be on the safe side. I don't see a difference, but you never know. I got mine lowered about 3 weeks ago also. Think my springs settled nicely now.

Ken, if I were you I would make sure the tire preasure is correct. If your tire presure is fine and your steering wheel is not straight, then I would go get an allignment. Maybe you hit a pot hole or something?

Very little and its only in the rear. I actually did not notice until I changed out to the track wheels last month.

that's really the worse you can expect with a lowering & no alignment I think, the front actually changes very little...

so it's not too bad after 2 years Pierce?

Yes Carlos, its not bad at all. If it was I would be the first in line screaming alignment.

I think so too John. I have over 35k miles on these wheels/tires.

Nope. I was supposed to go back to LMS for the alignment after a month but never got around to it and my FX drives straight so I never bothered to get it done.

so does mine. I thought my steering wheel was going to be a little off, but it's not. It drives straight, but just going to get it done just in case.
