Whats The Highest Milage on any FX

Currently at 166k.

Issues:

Rad cap at 70k
Thermostat at 150k
Front actuators at 150K

other than that, just maintenance.

I just had the a/c condenser replaced at 160k - a rock took it out.

the one outstanding issue is cracked vinyl on the front edge of the driver's seat

wow. I didn't think you had this much miles on your ride. I can see that you love the red line Gold :smile (2):

Do you start in 1st gear from a stop then work your way up? What RPM you shift at? I always start in 1st then shift to 2nd at 4k and shift to 3rd around 4.5K

-I do both. When I'm leaving home, I start from D. At a stop light, I start from 1st.
-For normal driving, I shift around 2-3K when I'm in 3rd or 4th gear.
-When I want to pass someone, I downshift to 2nd or 3rd, pass them, shift up to the next gear @~4K
When I think I have a chance against someone, I shift a little after 6 since I don't have the transgo on my car.
If I know for sure I'll beat them, I don't try so hard and shift around 5.5K

-When braking, I downshift at any RPM except from the 2nd --> 1st transition.
The highest RPM I can shift on that transition a LITTLE bit above 2.5K, so I have shift down at 2.5K.

Shift up from 1>2>3 is really odd. Because the 2nd>3rd shift makes a clunk, happens to all 1st gens.
But it can be prevented if I shift at a higher RPM from 2nd>3rd, like around 4K.
If you leave it in D, it never happens.. only in manumatic.

Yeah I tried the 2nd to 1st transition when coming to a stop and unless you are exactly under like 3-5mph the transmission will clunk pretty badly. From what I've looked up on Infiniti's specifically is that they don't really like the 2nd to 1st transition in manumatic mode and that it is hard on the transmission. Everyone says its better to let the tranny do the 2nd to 1st downshifting itself in manumatic mode since it will anyways. Less wear on the transmission.

I have a 2003 with 181,000

This is the maintenance I have done over 9 years

Maintenance:

Water pump

Pulley

Spark plugs

Air filter (gone through alot lol)

Oil Changes (every 3000 miles)

Hubs & wheel bearings (all around)

I have a 05 FX35, over 96k miles on it.

Done regular maintenance. I've replaced all four shocks and the front hubs. Still running strong and looking forward to keeping it that way.

2003 FX45 with 184k miles….about to replace it though, but it still runs fine. My warranty runs out at 192k, so Im worried about the cost if something should happen. Probably getting the Jeep SRT8…lol.
