Whats a feaking morning. Air fitting broke and stuck on the side of the road.

How did you get it in there? Heat would be my first line of action. Heat both and just before you pull the socket, cool it (just the socket) with water.

I was loosening the lug nut with my impact gun. It went on fine and as soon as i started to loosen the lug nut the socket slipped in deeper and logged itself in there. Now i can't rotate the socket at all and its stuck.

I'll try the hot and cold tonight.

Your stud could be crooked, and wedging the socket against the wheel when you loosen it. Try tightening the lug again to see if it frees the socket.

hummm.. could be.. i did just get that new stud put in i'll try tightening it some more.

If nothing works I'm loosening the other 4 lugs off, ripping the wheel off the car breaking the stuck stud off, and hammering it out from the inside of the wheel.

Lol yeah I think I spotted you on my way to UH. Sorry that happened.

This made me giggle... YEARS ago I lost the entire front wheel off of my VW Cabriolet on an S curve a few miles from my house. The tire shop that had repaired a flat earlier in the day had stripped 2 of the lug nuts and I was stuck with it in face plant position with crushed front ground effects (it was the 90's). Anyway the next day I heard, "hey I saw you...." from several different people yet not a single person stopped to help! Luckily I am a girl and crying is an option.

Like someone else said, at least you looked good limping to work! I enjoyed your platidip pics too btw and kudos on the T plate... what does it mean? I came up with TUBSOK & T BAG when trying to come up with something with a "t". I really lack creativity!

Lmao, I had a quick glance at it.. I thought it was a badass white FX, which looks similar to a black FX on here.
Then I come on here to find out it was him that was stranded and he plasti dipped the car a day before I think lol

Also, Pho is pronounced "Fuh".. Haha, so you should get it after that

A few years ago my inner cooler pipe popped off on my Audi TT. One of the European Auto Group members spotted me and pulled over. He was in his work truck so gave a shit load of Monster stickers to wrap around the pipe and intercooler outlet so i can get at least a little bit of pressure. I was running real rich and even had gasoline coming out of my exhaust but at least i made it home. The stickers allowed me to hold an idle.

I wouldn't want anyone to have stopped when i was in the FX. i was in a really bad spot and wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. If you know Houston you know that's a horrible spot. 610 going onto 59 South leaving Houston Galleria.

Went to my friend's shop down the street to help me get the socket off. Used a crap load of WD40, a bunch of oil, his 3 impact guns, and finally his neighbor's crazy impact gun got it off.

I've had one of these kinda days several times before. The only thing negative that has ever happened on my suspension is a line rubbed a hole, thank god I had a pieces in my tool bag to fix it on the fly.

Glad you had the stuff to fix it with you.
I need to put together an emergency repair kit for the air suspension. I was gonna ask you. What PSI do you ride at? Mine seems kinda high compared to my other cars.

My Integra is around 65-75 PSI
Audi 70-80PSI
FX i still haven't found my perfect sweet spot yet but so far I'm 80-90psi front and 120-130psi rear. that puts me at around a 1-2 finger gap all the way around from top of tire to fender.

Mine is set up with height sensors at each corner, no pressure sensor. Display is the older dakota digital. From a 0-100% range, I ride front at 85-90%, rear at 60%. The original bags for the rear were the tall bags, mounted to a plate on top of the spring bucket. I ended up switching to the shorter bag so I ride at a high pressure to keep it from being mushy in the back.

Once everything is set you're kinda good really. I just kept a 3' piece of line with coupler in an O for quick repair if a line developed a hole from rubbing or something.
