What wheel spacer sizes?

Hey Jonathan, are you rolling with these wheels now? if you're, they should have a hub centric ring on them already. So all you need are two set of H&R DRM 5065662 spacers.

H&R DRM for your FX35 are the right ones to buy.

But your wheels are most likely NOT hub centric. That's why I recommended custom spacers -- but you can only use them with your wheels (unless you find another set with the same hub bore).

Hi cheadman,

Ok great, So what are your thoughts on

front 30 mm spacer
Rear 25 mm spacer

Is it best to go for the larger spacer placed at the rear or doesnt it matter if the larger one is place either front or back?

Thanks

Well, the reason I only recommend up to 30mm in the rear and 25mm in the front -- the rear wheels don't turn (Go Nissan GT-R!, 4Wsteering!).

Having that wide of a track for the front will make your turning radius not so great, and it sucks to start out with (ever try to make a U turn?).

Also, the front suspension seems to get beat up more and farther out = more stress on suspension.

I say if you really want to try it go for it, 30mm front and 25 mm rear.

If it doesn't work out, you can always switch it and go 25mm front and 30 mm rear.

Look at my 25mm spacer:

Maybe after looking at the pictures, you might share my hesitation on why I think anything larger than a 25mm spacer might be too much.

I'm pretty conservative and like to stay on the safe side, so these are just my opinions.

I would go with either custom spacers or H&R spacers.

do you guys recommend those cheap ebay spacers?

100% no.

Who knows if the studs will fall out or crack under pressure, rust and crack, or too soft and deform under pressure.

I always suggest bolt-on type spacers if you have room behind your wheels for the studs, unless you want to shave or get 25mm or larger.

You have less frictional plates for something to go wrong if that makes sense, contrary to what people think extended studs being safer. They are not in my opinion.

66.1mm is our hub bore, so make sure they are hub centric. make sure you have hub centric rings for your aftermarket wheels too to use on the spacer/wheel.

No wai man! That's something I wouldn't mess with, quality of spacers. As Ed said with the potential of cracks or rusting, don't skimp on something this vital. I got H&R spacers when I run my 20s and drive with piece of mind.

Hi LA_FX35, Yes im rolling on those rims right now so are the Hub centric rings part of the rim or are they separate and fit on to the back of the rim? Yes will order the H&R DRM spacers, just trying to work out the best size options to go for that are safe for my offset.

AS Cheadman mentions in above if i go for a bigger spacer front than rear then U turn issues will surface.

Im going with either

FRONT 25/REAR 30 OR FRONT 25 /REAR 25
