What went wrong with your FX today?

The auto up and down on the power windows stopped working. I brought it to the dealer and they reprogrammed the windows. I'm not exactly sure how the programming came undone or corrupted but they fixed it, strange. Anyone ever heard of this?

what brand you use?

Bulbs were OEM, HIDs were cheap ebay ones that my friend had (same kind) on his car for 2 years now.

I am giving up doing anything to this vehicle. This is all relatively cheap stuff so it's just an annoyance, but don't wanna test my luck with anything expensive.

I'm going with cursed. All my upgrades have lasted through some pretty harsh winters here. Are you fogs bulb or ballast giving you issues?

It was the ballasts this time, before that bulbs.

OH and on top of that, OEM wipers sucked so I went to Canadian Tire and got new ones. "Best" ones they had, they barely stay on and I lost one on the way to the mountains during ice rain. This could be the wiper being faulty but DAMN!!! Another thing to deal with.

I discovered that the Pirelli Scorpion Zero's on my 22's are run flats. Huh, who knew.. and still my lightest set of wheels. I didn't see anything I hit, but whatever happened ripped off my plastic cover underneath the rear bumper - the piece I had to notch out when I did the OEM tow hitch. Also broke some holes open where that piece clips to the mud flaps. Time to look around for some new plastics.
Now that I have the OEM wheel temporarily on, I really like having it. I'm deciding whether to run the OEM's/Hankook's for a while of buy 2 or 4 new shoes for the 22's.

Did you try the reset procedure yourself? Generally this happens if the battery was dead for a period of time but it sounds like other things can do it.

Raising and holding the window button for each window for 30 seconds then releasing will reset and fix the non-functional auto-up feature. Jfyi.

I didn't even know about that. I will keep that in mind if it happens again, thanks for the tip.

Started the car this morning and for about 10 seconds, I thought I was going to lose a rod or something. There was a really loud clatter/rattle sound and it basically sounded like a no/low oil pressure situation. It was rpm dependent, but then it went away. Oil level is fine, car now drives fine. Searched and found a few other people have experienced this. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. Only thing I can think caused it is that I didn't drive it yesterday but the day before, I washed it so I turned it on and moved it out of my parking space to the washing area and then back. So 2 starts and stops that lasted maybe 30 seconds each. Maybe that resulted in low oil pressure, who knows.

I developed the infamous exhaust rattle.not sure if its the heat shield for the exhaust or the cats.

Oh and the long crank cold start sputtering issue..

So today in the morning after dropping off my daughter I went to get a coffee and after getting into the FX it would not start. The FX unlocked when I was walking to it but then when I got in it would not start. The dashboard would not even light up and realized my key was next to the my iPhone. I then tried to use the regular key to turn it on but the fx would not turn on and the ignition would not turn. A few minutes later the ignition started to turn and the FX started up. However I could hear the clicking noise on the dashboard and eventually it went away. I don't believe it's the car battery since it's barely a year old.

I got a ticking sound from the rear of the vehicle. Told my wife to drive it slowly while i listened outside. Rear right wheel. It sounds like one metal piece is hitting other metal piece with every rotation (not loud at all, but I could hear it from the inside if windows were down). Is it my bearing going out? It really weird, since I just changed that bearing 4 months ago, and I did not buy any cheap one, I got mine from the dealership here in Houston.... Any suggestions?

Some oil will fix that. Search for TSB. Sounds like the same common problem on gen 1

Thank you for the info. I found TSB website for 2003 FX, but which TSB should i look for? There is only one related to bearing (due to accident) so that can't be it. What part does this issue relates to?

i have the same click. i thought it was the brakes. but it comes back once and a while

Having this issue for awhile now but ruled a couple things already still trying to see what it could be causing it. SES lights up time to time code reads that is the MAF sensor is bad. I have the K&N filter setup but i religious check to make sure the oils are not causing the issue. I clean the MAF throughly but the light comes one after a while. One thing i do notice is the change in weather triggers it occasionally. I want to buy a new set of MAF but then again my wallet say otherwise still trying to debug it:sluggish:

Unplug them & see if theres corrossion or water intrusion in the connectors. Could be a bad connection.

Does anyone know what can be going on with the FX when the engine keeps revving after the engine is warm and its on park. Also when driving I don't even have to step on the gas pedal and it will accelerate to like 35mph.
