What went wrong with your FX today?

the battery is weak. in nyc its about 18 degrees in the morning and my battery is pulling. i gotta get a new one this weekend for sure.

I let my girlfriend drive my car & she drove almost 3 miles with the parking brake on :bulgy-eyes: so now I need new rear brakes & a girlfriend that will NEVER drive my car AGAIN

^ouch! Tell the GF you do all the driving. All she needs to do is lie down and relax ;-)

my guess is you would like to check the parking brake pads, rotors are generally fine since it they rub against the rotor hats. good luck.

went to get some new tires and when just they are about to take the lug nuts they let me know that the lug nuts need to be replaced. Atleast 7 of the 16 lug nuts. they told me that they are swollen and if they get removed possibly would not be able to put them back on. The only way to get them is from the dealership. However each cost $7.00. one of the dealerships is asking $15 per lug nut.

Which stealership is that? Geez you can pick up a complete set including a set of nice wheels locks off eBay. Good Soon helped you out.

Glad to know you both are OK. It could have been a lot worse

"There is this red light thingy on the instrument thingy that said something but I dont know baby I thought it was for the other thingy"

wow i never thought disassembling left side motor mount will be pain in the ass. You basically cant access the top 14mm nut on the mount. I tried every tool i have. Then i took the shield off that covers the headers. Now i have a tiny bit access to the bolt. But the angle the bolt is you need a wobble socket. I put the wobble socket boom it hits one of the header pipes. I used different kind of wrenches and ughh unsuccessful. The only wrench i think might work is a short flex wrench, or gearwrench where the circle in the end flexes. Man this has been a pain. I dont feel like taking off my headers!!

buy some headers! then you will have motivation!

From one problem to another. Since last week on any speed my steering wheel kept moving on its own. I felt bad vibrations. So today i inspected the front suspension and found this. This what happens when you buy used tires :(

Yeah, I definitely see a ridge in the tires. With that dry rot you may be better off looking for another set of tires though anyway. Broken bands can cause tons of problems and aren't very safe neither is dry rot. Stinks because there is still a good amount of tread on there.

ouch. thats why when buying used tires, check the manufacturer date. i wouldn;t touch anything more then 2 years old.

so the tire finally blew :( thank goodness i had rotated to the rear, got a used one now all good. But thinking off putting 285 50 20

well that sucks

Really needed that seat heater badly eh?

Is it completely broken, or can you like glue it back?

I remember seeing a list of different OEM toggle switches at my stealership and most of them were like 15-20 bucks. kinda a waste but might as well get it fixed. I know that would bother me...

EDIT:

Noticed the post regarding the E-brake being left on. I did this momentarily once and noticed the car wont signal anything or beep at you. I had a toyota before and it would chime at you just like when you don't have your seat belt on if you were trying to drive with the E-brake on. Just wondering why the FX doesnt do that...
