What went wrong with your FX today?

Had my FX in the garage. Dishwasher repair guy was going through my garage to get to the kitchen. Bigger gent and I have a two car tandem garage. His belt buckle had the unfortunate event of kissing the front left fender above the wheel well causing three scratches. Didn't think too much of it until I was washing my car and noticed. I think I can buff it out or get creative with Dr. Color Chip.
 
My wife is just as much of an enthusiast type as I am so she understands the love of a great auto. She drives the FX harder than me and I love it!
 
Someone hit and ran my fx driver seat dim have time to tale pic but will be posting pic...... The door by where we have the edge line was hit smashed in pretty hard

It was parked on the street damn xxuck sucks omfg
How much do u think itll cost to have the door repaired ?
Itll need to be pulled and repainted.....
Goddamn nyc street parking is nasty

Went to a coupla body shop and the fix ranged from 250- 750 depending on wether i wanted color matching
blending etc etc .. I guess quality of the job. .....

A neighbor told me he saw who'd done it.... a lady who was moving out middle of the night last night!!!!!
in a white minivan.... doubt she is going to do anything about it and also even if i were to confront her ....thats
if i could ever see her- would she admit it? or pay for the repair? dang i hate this shit.....

her minivan will def have sings of damage. time to go after her with vengeance. Gud Luck.
 
those prices are pretty low, even the $750 is low, the only right way to fix that is replace the door skin, that area is a compound curve with intersecing body lines and the metal is pretty stretched, it'll never be really good just bondo'd, I'm coming up with ~$1,350 to replace the skin and blend the fender and rear door and that's not even going all out crazy, just fixing it good.... that's still reusing your lower molding and not taking the bumper off to remove the headlight for perfect paint of the fender. doing it really perfect would be closer to $1,600, even bondo'd best as possible and blended would be over a grand, the fender and both doors def need to be sprayed with that color or you'll see it. doing it "right" you have ~$700 worth of paint work alone there, not including any bodywork or dissasembly or anything else.

I'm not telling you this because I want to do the job, I'm just telling you this so you at least know. it would suck to do a repair and have it not be invisable... your car your money though so in the end it's your decission but be careful of too low a price, you'll get what you pay for...

thank you turbo i figured so .... maybe it was bcuz i was all over junkyard by mets stadium......
pretty much a junkyard quality...... my heart is an infiniti enthusiast .... or car enthusiast but
yes times are hard.. TT even if slihtly noticeable i guess ill feel alot better with it fixed then
how it is right now.....
