Has the V1 gone through any cosmetic changes? It looks like something that came out if the Knight Rider car from the 80's :rotfl:
In $300-$500 range, Valentine One(performance wise, hands down. One minus no GPS, many false alerts) and Escort 9500ix(gadget wise, with GPS, will be very quite, no false alarms. Poor detection).
In $800-$1500 range, custom installed setups, Beltronics STI-R Plus(the best radar detector available at the moment) and Escort 9500ci.
Nope still looks like sh!t:rotfl:Has the V1 gone through any cosmetic changes? It looks like something that came out if the Knight Rider car from the 80's :rotfl:
how is it poor detection in your opinion? I've had anything but awesomeness from it especially in auto mode from city to highway.
Nope, didn't upgrade the firmware yet(radar is fairly new, made in December 2012). I will check the firmware today. Thanks.
PS with V1 I detected cops 3-5 miles away(highway)
radar detetctors are useless to the lidar system. Here in California, highway patrols use that. Basically uses lasers to detect your speed. Valentine one and passport 9500ix will detect lidar but it will be too late because the lidar already got your speed. What you need is lidar and radar jammer. It will go off just like a radar detector when the cop is using it on you. So you have time too slow down and turn off the jammer. I personally would get a jammer
your gonna need the ix"x" model that jams in coming search signals then if the signal remains in place too long it sends out a sencondary seeker scrambling signal. So what model Radar Jammer do you recommend?

with 9500ix not really, you literally have seconds(very poor detection range). Maybe I have a bad unit? IDK. I'll go to Best Buy and exchange it. Will report back.
