Used (E70 LCI) X5, RX350, Q5.
X5 is a nice truck and a good value since the replacement is out now. But I did not want to maintain a second BMW without much warranty left. I think most of the bugs are worked out for ~2012 35i and it was the second contender.
RX350 has some serious incentives now. I think they look okay, and they are fine A to B. It's mostly the wife's car anyway. But they are just too vanilla and boring.
Q5 is like the RX350, but with some German solidity. Nothing special, but a fine car. A bit overpriced for its dated platform, IMO.
I had a 2006 FX years ago that I liked and these still hold a unique place in the market. I actually don't think they are the most stylish things (which is too bad because their style also compromises a lot on interior practicality), but they offer a good combination of sport (not necessarily outright performance, but fun), technology, and value (being Japanese, mostly).
