What do you dislike most about your FX?

I've probably already complained about this, but lately the quality of the leather is really bugging me. Mine isn't ripped or cracked, but the creases and scratches look cheap. I've used Leatherique several times and it helps, but I still feel like it's going to crack any day now. My 335 is the same age with a few less miles, but the leather in that car looks almost new. My old IS350 had great leather and even the leather in a Honda is nicer than what we have in our cars.

And the FX is still slow...but that's not really Infiniti's fault. It's comparable to other SUV's that came out during that time. But it sucks knowing that the Sienna minivan next to you can take you off the line. It does sound incredible though running to redline while going nowhere quickly. The N54 in my 335 revs higher and makes a lot more power, but it sounds like a pickup truck half the time.

I am glad I have the brick leather because it wears very well. I think the FX feels decently fast up to 60 or so, when compared to driving the Z. The big difference I notice is after you pass 80 or so and the FX starts to lose steam but the Z just keeps going.

Yeah, 0-40 or so is very quick so pulling into traffic isn't bad. It's more passing someone while moving, say you're going 40 and want to move over to pass when traffic opens up. It's very laggy in that situation and I understand a lot of it is the gearing and weight. So I have to pay more attention in order to get around people since I need to plan ahead. You're right, it really does seem to lose steam at higher speeds. Getting to highway speeds can take some time. My brother had an '06 G sedan and that car felt much better on the highway. Guess the rev up model really made a difference.

Fuel consumption... Just can't get it over 19 mpg, how careful i drive doesn't matter.
FX35 '08.

After 23 tanks of fuel (5400 miles):

Rev up was meh and had oil consumption issues. HR made a huge difference though. I remember first time I drove an HR G sedan loaner and it went like a raped ape.

On the topic of mpg, I just filled up from nearly empty (almost 20 gals on the pump) and I had averaged 12 mpg...

Yeah, mileage isn't awesome. I average 14 mpg between city and hwy. If I only drive in the city, I get 12.5 mpg. It's a lot of car to pull around so the engine's always straining. Best I've ever gotten was like 23 mpg hwy between Atlanta and Tampa where it's pancake flat for a lot of it, with cruise control on.

I hate that I can't hear the exhaust note in the cabin. Even with the windows down I can still barely hear it over the engine roaring at higher rpms.

This issue probably was bought up before, but the rattle noises coming from the front wood trim pieces both driver and passenger side. The trim pieces have been worked on and replaced multiple times now, and the rattle noises just come after a while.

Thing is if I listen to it from outside the car and from the back, it's pretty loud. I have a G37s exhaust so it is definitely louder then the stock 2nd gen exhaust. All I need is to have less engine noise ;)

What do I dislike the most? Two numbers: 3.7

Haha me too except 3.5

I'm thinking about getting a 50 when I get back to Cali. Hopefully this summer, tired of the v6.

Guess who's already looking? ;)

I dont like the fact that I havent had any warranty repairs requiring me to take it back to the dealer so I could get a free car wash! Only saving grace is getting an oil change then a free car wash!
This is my 5th Infinity since 2003, same problem with all of them!
