What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

It literally saved me thousands of dollars. Also I was on my way to return the paint because it was crap so I just took the tray and poured it back into the bucket on the side of the road, and returned it and got my 160$ back.

No, it was too deep as well. That's why I modified the bezel and wrapped in suede.
 
Finally got the full aerokit installed by The Mechanic, I just feel bad that he basically spent his whole night installing it. We both did not think it was going to take that long. But Edwin is a perfectionist so he took his time to make sure everything was on perfect. Wow does the aero kit change the look of the FX so much.

Pennzoil plat oil change. Looks like I burned about half a quart which is new. Will have to keep an eye next change, or possibly reduce my interval from lower than 5,000 miles.

Jealous its so cheap for your model year.. I have an '09, which (to my knowledge) can only be updated by Infiniti at the stealership. Think it was around $250 last time I checked..

What type of filter do you like to use? I want to switch from regular oil to the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum at my next oil change.. 5qts for $28 at walmart :)

To the 2009 owners: The "new" 2015 Infiniti branded version 8.8 nav discs are $79.00. But you still have to take it to the dealer to install it.www.navigation.com

Pretty sure '09s dont use discs in the NAV system. I was told they have to plug the car into their system to update, no discs involved..

5 qts w/ an STP extended life filter is $30 at Autozone.

I like either Mobil 1 or K&N filters, as they are supposed to be similar and good quality. K&N has a wrench spot built in which is nice for DIY. I did some quick research on the STP XL, and I thought I read good things.

I would prob say the sides was the toughest part for Edwin. The only thing I did to help was pull off the old sides lol.

I never understood why they did not make it automatically specially if you purchased the FX50 or QX70 5.0. I think it's also crazy that all the dealerships I called about it told me they never dealt with installing the kit and at one point thought it was aftermarket and not even sold by infiniti.

I'm sorry!! Misread it. "You purchase the ACTIVATION CODE and the company sends it to you and you take to the dealer." Is 79.00 the going rate at the dealer? (Thanks for the correction!)

No worries! I just looked this up, looks like for an '09, the activation code is now $79. Two months ago when I was looking into this, the code was $149 plus the dealership told me it would be an additional $125 for them to actually install the new software. Seems like a huge upcharge to plug something in and walk away...
