What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Installed rear 14kg/mm springs for BC coilovers, thanks Zebra. Got tired of blowing through the travel. They are very stiff even though the stock is 12k. We will see how they handle, but so far so good. Downside is they dont sag much at all. So my car is higher. Had to remove a lockring jist to get my car to where it was. Literally raised the back an inch even thoigh spring height is the same.

Front 12 kg/mm go on soon. Its an even bigger step up since BC normally comes with 8k front.

 Come on guys, open a headlight is nothing more then heat up the oven to 350 degree, turn off the oven, stick the headlight in for 5 minutes, take it out, peel the tap/clip around the housing where it clips onto the lens up and out of the way a little, then start pulling it apart from the larger/wider end of the lens and work your way to the narrower end. That's it.

I'm using a different paint this time around though. Instead of painting it with Krylon black on a sanded down chrome shroud, I saw from other forums that painting the chrome shroud as it it with VHT Nite-Shade gives a black chrome effect.

Bought some, but have not try them. Mine are use with a paint gun. I've been playing with a paint gun the last couple days. I spray my grille with the gun last night and some clear coat on other parts. Need to get a better handle on the painting before trying out the black chrome paint.

more TOOLS and services for the Chi crew. It's just a matter of time before your FX is repaint as hyper chrome black .

Ive used the tamiya gunmetal (spray can) on my emblems. Just spray it over chrome, no sanding, top with a high quality clear. If its in the headlights thats fine because not exposed. It cheaps easily though otherwise.

I hope one day I can start painting car parts. For now, just a little trims, flaps, grille, maybe a bumper soon.

Thanks for the info Pat.

Tinted the tail lights on my fx35 today. Going to tint the brake light and reflectors tomorrow hopefully. Also planning to wrap black vinyl on the roof sometime this week, and ordered some HIDs for the fog lights. Also ordered interior led lights for the map/dome lights etc.

Nice plan Raheel. You tint with spray or film?

TapaTalkin'

I tinted with spray. I tried using film but wasn't getting the result I wanted, so decided to go the spray route. In the end, I think it turned out decent for doing it myself and never having done it before.
