What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Definitely DIY-able. I didn't realize places do this as I'd only heard of people doing it themselves. Might be worth having it done professionally just to avoid the hassle.

It is very doable yourself but it is difficult. I got a kit and started trying to do some smaller items and I'm still trying figuring it out. I just wanted this stuff perfect so I paid to have it done.

I'd recommend dipwizard for a good hydrographics do it yourself kit. The owner is super helpful and will talk you through anything.

Here some attempts of me doing some dipping: View attachment 9820 View attachment 9819View attachment 9818

What happens is you prime the object, put a base coat (as most of the film is semi transparent, in my case the basecoat was k25) then you dip and clear coat over it. It will last pretty much as long as your paint job will. The actual "pattern" is just a dye once you spray the activator on it and dip into it.

Wow looks amazing Dave! Definitely pictures when the parts are back in the bay.

Just got all of my brakes resurfaced. No more squeaking when I back up and the feeling of sand in the rotors. :rotfl:

I put an iSimple interface in so that I can listen to music how I like. I probably spent 100x more time procrastinating than it actually took to install.
