What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I was still running the original battery and it would start even after sitting outside in the cold and snow for 5 weeks. That battery is still in the car when I dealt it.

I know, but you mention with the welcome lighting it went bad. What I'm saying is once I got a new battery with the welcome lighting on it can last a long time too. You might want to give the welcome lighting a shot again if you do like it (if you also have a new battery and that the one you have is not the factory original one since you probably would still have problems with welcome lighting on).

I wrote about the reason it went bad when it happened. It was because the welcome lighting is factory preset and it is supposed to disable itself if the car has not been started for 2 weeks or more. It does this so the battery will not discharge too much. I discovered that my welcome lights were still enabled even after 4 or 5 weeks.
So my battery discharged because the welcome lighting was not set up properly, not because it was bad, my OEM battery was still perfectly fine.

I might enable it on my 2010 sometime,

My settings menu had an option to disable/enable the electronic beep when using the door handle buttons. Second gen should have the same. If it is still enabled, try toggling it off and then on again. Might just be a software gremlin.

Today I have discovered the way to deactivate permanently the Lane Departure Prevention System every time the engine starts.
I'm really happy now! Was really irritating!

Be careful using metal or chrome valve stem caps. If the inside isnt rubber or plastic what eventually is going to happen is that the cap will sieze to the valve stem making it impossible to get off. I see this happening all the time.

Yes. There are both RWD and AWD fx35's. the majority of the Fx35's produced are AWD though (80% if I'm not mistaken)

That's for 1st gen. I'm not sure about the 2nd gen FX35's. Are there RWD 2nd gen 35's?

Yes there are 2nd Gen FX35's in both rwd and awd. Lerry had a rwd FX35.

It just depends on the location I guess, when I bought my fx in Cali, there were so many RWD's and few AWD's. When I went to the dealer here in Chicago they were all AWD's

^ didn't know that but it sure makes sence. I guess the 80% quote applies here to the NW as well as most 35s are AWD here
