10. Dash and Rear Speakers 3.5 Infinity Kappa

Next Mods: A buddy of mine has a friend who works for Rusty Wallace as a fabricator ..... if we can get it worked out going to get him to build me a set of headers for the VK ..... just got on the forum so going to snoop around and see if there is anyone on here that has a line on something ready for purchase ........ as well as looking for some good cam upgrades ...... hopefully some savvy members of IS have already worked that out for me ;)

I am open to experienced member suggestions on MODs .... if you read this and want to make a suggestion on future MODs please let me know!!! :)

Oh BTW forgot - going to change head unit out ....... moving the 1st Gen Orange screen to area where clock is .... need to source a BUS cable extension for the screen move ..... anyone .... anyone???

Nice. Lets see some pictures now:smile (2):

Finally managed to change the rear brake pads...and by this I mean I stood around and watched turbo do all the heavy lifting. My puny girlie arms couldn't do much to get all the rusted bolts and pads out. Also had the assistance of Guru Soon to lift the FX and work the torque wrench. Now that I think about it...I don't think I did much of anything at all to my FX.

Thanks fellas! I will buy you another round of coffee and sandwiches! :good:

Good times as usual.

Turbocad get the job done right!!.., in fact I had bugged him today for wiring up front and rear foot well lighting with amber LEDs (the idea from Zebra, and tho it'll be cool). Finding the correct cable was a b#$%!#h.

Can't wait to see this one in person! Now you're ready to tackle the instal for mine, right?

Finished up the grill today. This is the first time I've ever painted anything for a car before, so it looks best from about 10 feet away... :P but overall I like it! I may redo it sometime soon to get a little better match to the rails (or wheels, I can't decide), but luckily it's sort of on it's own out on the front so the tonal differences aren't super obvious. Anyway, here are some pics to make it reality.

Yesterday afternoon I removed my GT spec rear lower lateral reinforcement brace and went and had my alignment done.

Installed new wheel hub/bearing assembly on front driver side. Was pain in the ass to get the old hub off (all rusted in) - took about hour and a half of PB soaking and hammering

^Hahaha :good: What I did was of course, PB Bast it let it soak for about 10 minutes or so and then whack it from behind with a 6-lb sledge hammer. This method hasn't fail me yet.

^Looks good.

I lowered rear ride height a bit, raised rear and front preload to 10mm, lowered front damping to 0, and almost had time to install the camber kit. Almost.

Ride quality is much improved though, and my fender scraping around fast corners (since the new tires) is gone.
