What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I came to the realization that the grill on the outgoing FX needed to be repainted and thought I would try out an idea that's been on my mental project list for literally years. I'm not entirely sold on it yet to be honest. Thoughts?

I still need to do the clear coats but I'm not sure yet I don't want to just spray it black and forget about it.

Not quite today, but stuff I've been working on recently.

Mirrors wrapped in brushed black (wrapping trim before potentially wrapping car red).

Testing brushed black on chrome trim

Here's other stuff I've been working on which has prevented me from doing more.

Finally installed pedal set in BMW

Installed Alcantara armrest which matches suede shift boot and e-brake boot

Didn't want to pay $750 for new bumper just to pay another $350 for CF diffusor without knowing if I'd like it. So I thought I'd test the look out. First step was using knifeless tape for the outline.

Finished product. The edge sealer is still drying which is what's causing the lines to look funny.

Next project will to finally get the rest of the pieces for the Akebono brakes. I spent a few minutes and shortened the banjo bolts today. Just need a caliper hardware kit and I'll be good to go. Also have a new coolant reservoir ready to install w/ Samco hoses and OCC.

I like the grille Tim. Is the silver part "brushed" or just silver. I can see it looking good on a DG with blacked out headlights

It's an aluminum looking Krylon Fusion. In my head it matches the rails but this particular color didn't quite get there.

Edit: It's THIS one.

I changed both front wheel bearing assemblies. Wow. It is so much quieter. I didn't realize just how much noise those bearings were making
