What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

My FX has been in hibernating since Wednesday. Been driving my sisters car all week/weekend. That ends tomorrow night, when I have to go get her from LAX.

Installed the DVD headrests. Very easy to wire up but pain in the ass to route wires in the seats and carpeting all the way to the front center console. My hands are bruised up and ripped my fingernail halfway back lol. One side took me 2 hours haven't done the other side yet which I will do tomorrow. Both have been tested and powered up and they work fine!

Spent $300 on a interior/exterior detail after purchasing it from a private party at the end of last week. There was dog hair, dander, spilled particles, dirt all over the place. Well, picked it up last night after work and its like a brand new frickin FX. Well, about as brand new as a 2007 w/98k miles can be.

I also removed the weird front bumper molding, side molding, and chrome door column trim....

actually, i've lived in Germany and Michigan, but that's history ...
now i have to worry about too many leaves on the FX

so ... i dusted mine ... with a leaf blower!

has there ever been a gathering for owners? in the south? anywhere?

Yes it is the wrong way. I didn't realize it either until all the headrest were hooked up that it was on backwards. Lmao

Wiring them up is easy. The hard part is routing the wires. I have a partial diy coming on this.
 
re-torque my spacers to factory specs after 120 miles with them... So far so good: no issues driving 20, 50 or 75 mph... Got a 300 mile trip coming today, so will know for sure.
 
Got the oil changed and the TPMS programmed with the FX50 rims for the winter. Now I just need to find a good deal on some Bridgestone tires since the tires on now need to be replaced soon.
