What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Man that look sick, Stu. Can't wait to see it done. Do you think the Y pipe will fit AWD and are you going to have to extend the tips?

Pretty sure the Y won't fit. I was nervous at first that it would fit mine. I will try to get a pic, but it's pretty low off the ground to get a good shot. Tips are questionable as of now haha. Gotta get it finished up first though. I found that this shield interferes, so working on finding a way to cut out the corner.

Hopefully this clears it up, from the top down: ART pipes with the Heimholtz resonator > y-pipe > muffler > HFC midpipes > rear section with another resonator.

I think it's one of those loud when you want, quiet when you want kind of systems. Or at least I hope so. :eek.:
Should sound like this:

Dude, that sounds loud as hell. My Flowmaster used to overdrive the microphone like that too, which is why I made the video in which I move the mic back 30ft prior to revving. I like the tone though. You could always throw on some headers if its too loud.

Oh my goodness oh my damn oh my goodness we goin' ham!

It's still on jackstands, but I had to fire it up real quick and get some rev's. So much damn work though constantly loosening stuff again and making it fit. I had to take off that GTspec brace that hangs real low. I think I hit it again so it might have fit otherwise.

Tim, this thing is in the passenger rear side, same one? It covers up some plastic box with hoses going into it.

No, I thought it was the one above the cats.

I also removed that damn heat shield that both exhausts rubbed up against. I think I'm barely resting on the w-brace, but everywhere else is barely clearing.

Tips definitely need extending a few inches.

Yep, I'm technically not supposed to drive it hard since it's not re-tuned yet, but I think I'll get a start up and idle. It's so bassy at the lower RPM's.

Y Pipe won't fit AWD, but it's a modular system so you could just buy the Y-back portion. Or buy the ART pipes as well and get another aftermarket Y like the Megan.

I'm thinking tips will have to be extended at school. I know a shop there who I had fix my midpipe a few months ago. The midpipe extensions are just resting on the w-brace, and it leads to a drone/resonance at 2k RPM if in higher gears and cruising. Otherwise everything is great and it sounds awesome. The rear cans seem to sit a little funny, but it might just be that I put the tips on crooked.
