Not finished yet

I actually did this the other day but never posted until only now.

Finally installed the VG Shark Fin that I got before the summer and just got it done a few days ago :)

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Xparent Red 2
nice. Tint those red tails and it would compliment nicely with the CF accented tail emblem

Might have to do the plasti dip DIY project soon, I just wonder how it will handle the winter and car wash.

love what you did to your door handles... how are they holding up? paint not chipping?

The door handles are plasti dipped as well. Holds up good so far (only 2weeks). I didn't take them off, but one door handle broke recently so I will be replacing it. I read that's it's hard to remove them-if it's easy I'll prob take all 4 off and redo them with plasti dip all over or vinyl wrap-not sure

Will do. I wanted to get the old exhaust off the night before, but I don't know if I want to deal with that tonight. I think just do it tomorrow and then wait on FedEx.

Impending exhaust install is always exciting! I couldn't sleep the night before my Nismo went on. :good:

Here's a shot of the new stuff from yesterday. Going to finish it here in a few minutes. Motordyne uses clamps for all their pipe attachments thankfully so I think my wrist can make it through that.

It's basically in the right order from top to bottom, front to rear.

Those two things that look like test pipes in the foreground. Are those the mufflers? Have you heard this system before?

I believe the main muffler is int he middle. The two parts you see are the hemholtz resonators Motordyne uses. Similar to the HKS system and I suppose based on their own ART pipes. I believe the version 1 of this system did not have the resonators by the tips and was pretty loud. According to all the Z and G guys, this is the best sounding exhaust available.

So there's no rear muffler then? Just the one up where the resonator usually hangs out? Seems like it would be brutally loud. I have two mufflers that size in my system and its still pretty loud at wot, throughout the rpm range. Mine isn't a true dual though, that probably makes a difference...

Hopefully this clears it up, from the top down: ART pipes with the Heimholtz resonator > y-pipe > muffler > HFC midpipes > rear section with another resonator.

I think it's one of those loud when you want, quiet when you want kind of systems. Or at least I hope so. :eek.:
Should sound like this:
