What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Oscar, remind me to compare your set up to mine...I remember hearing that the pads and/or rotors were compatible with Rotora.

Ok I will, I also was told they are compatible due to the fact that JBT is made by Rotora so it's what I was told.

Made an appointment to get my alignment done at 1. Always look forward to the before and after, have been in awe at how bad it had been in the past!

Got to love that lifetime alignment at Firestone!

Finally finished installing new door speakers and sound deadening in the front and rear doors. Also rolled the rear fender lip a bit more with the bat. If it's not enough, I'll have to bite the bullet and rent a roller. In the next couple of days, I'm going to paint all the grab handles and other plastic on the headliner black to match the suede (it's only been two years...). On Tuesday, I drop the grill off at the shop to get color matched Then Friday and next weekend I install the sub box in the spare tire well along with the sound deadener and wire everything. And new headlights. Too many projects going on.

Any pics on the install or setup?

No real pics of the speaker installs, they're just Kicker KS600 coaxials so they just dropped in w/ adapter. Right now they're just running off the factory Bose amp. It sounds surprisingly good considering they're 4 ohm speakers and Bose is 2ohm. I would have thought that with much less power, they wouldn't sound right. But even with the power drop, they play louder and clearer than the Bose at the same volume. I'll get pics of the sub setup when I do it. I picked up a fiberglass box from another member that replaces the spare tire and holds 2 12"s. A 5 channel amp will power the door speakers and subs, I replaced the dash speakers w/ 3.5" Kicker coaxials as well, but I'll leave them on the Bose amp.

Nice, I differently like to see pics/video as well. I bought some Boston Acoustic PRO60SE and a 4ch Alpine F4 Amp. Do you think adding a 3.5 speakers to dash will be over kill or may even mess with sound delivery?

I actually thought that replacing the dash speakers helped the most. It improved the soundstage and made everything more crisp. I don't plan on hooking them up to an aftermarket amp, the factory wattage is enough. I did get 2 ohm speakers for the dash so that matched Bose. I did not replace the center speaker because I had read that it may pull the sound too far up front and mess everything up.

Disconnecting the center speaker will improve the soundstage, you better hook your dash speakers to the future aftermarket amplifier, it's not about wattage it's all about improving the SOUND QUALITY. Don't invest too much in rear speakers, won't improve your sound quality much, an average priced coaxial speakers will do the job just fine.
