What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Received the cargo cover and took off the cross bars, Soonster told me I needed to take them off. So today I was bored and decided to remove them to see what the FX looks like. The front bar was kind of easy to remove however the rear on was a pain in the ass. I drenched one of the bolts with on blaster but it barely loosened it. Eventually I had to break off the piece in order to take it off. Whenever they installed the cross bars they must have not tightened them by hand. Now even if I wanted to put them back on I would not be able to bc the rear one is broken lol. Now what to do with all those holes left where the bolts went to hold the crossbars in place.

that sux, sorry to lead you into the breaking parts. got pics? I'm sure it can be re-assembled by re-tapping and getting new bolts.

edit, u gotta ADMIT, it does look CLEANER without it. :tongue (2):

Oh it does look cleaner plus I would never put anything there anyways so it was kind of pointless. This is the broken piece c6e4e271-5ec2-6e66.jpg.

mine didn't come with the crossbars when purchased, it had small silver plastic plugs. I'm sure u find something suitable from homedepot as a plug. or go cheap and use eletrical tape in covering.

Yeah I was thinking of electrical tape for the mean time or possibly wrapping them in CF vinyl wrap. But that might be an overkill.

He sent me the USB cable and Map Switch, paid a really good price for both. Plus he gave me an online access also. I told him that I'm a member here:)
