Got two new Hankook RH06's mounted in the front after last week's dilemma. Went to Walmart to do it since all other places were closed. They surprisingly exceeded my standards... technicians were very courteous and professional. They treated the vehicle like their own and even torqued the wheels afterwards (instead of tightening it with an impact gun all the way). Price was much cheaper than what i was use to paying in NYC ($24 for front 2 mount + balance & tire disposal fee). Tried to tip the guy but he couldn't accept it. Very satisfied!
Test drove my fx with newly balanced tires. Finally, no steering wheel shake.
Took me finding a Goodyear tech who knew how to balance tires on 20"+ wheels. This was my third balance.
Tech remove 1 weight each from 3 wheels and ripped off all the weights on the 4th wheel and put new weights on. Tech said the previous guy who did it was close on 3 of them and way off on the 4th.
What a waste of money but glad I know where to go now. Just Tires in Norridge, IL.
So after i was done with the first caliper I moved to the second one. I followed all my steps to the teeth on the second as I did on the first, the next morning I went down to see the Caliper this is what I came across.
So I took an exacto knife since it was just the first coat, I cut around the area that was not proper and repainted. The caliper looks good now I just have to take more pictures after it dry's.
