What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I would. But the fx is in a dark garage. Cant pull out since he battery died just sitting over the last few days with the lights on and such. Later today I will....

Body shop looks kind of ghetto. lol

I know body shops that say I'll do this for a good price or like to bargain to get your business are usually the ones that don't do a good job or half ass it. Let us know how it goes!

By the way are they blending it?

Drove my new (to me) FX to work for the first time after swapping over my old FX's interior this weekend. Feels like home!

added some compound to my grill that i've painted.. this simple and easy project is turning into an obsessive compulsive test of perfectionism and flawlessness... sheesh... sanded, painted, wetsanded, clearcoat, wetsanded, wetsanded, wetsanded, wetsanded some more... still lacks gloss and luster... now, compound and polish and we shall see how she turns

Installed my 3K PIAA fogs yesterday afternoon that I picked up from Koso. They worked perfectly. Decided to go in from underneath instead of pulling the fender liners and the entire project took about 30 minutes. I then polished the foglight lenses with some 3M Lens polish and they look amazing.

Thanks Koso...maybe one day I will upgrade to HID's but this is the route I needed for now. Very happy with them.

Yea they are blending it so they are going to paint the fender and two doors the quarter panels. The estimate was 550. The shop def looks ghetto and it is somewhat jghetto.
But my friend actually owns the mezhanic part and his partner does the body..... As far as quality of the job? I know they are not the perfectionist type like turbo however i dont have a perfectionist type of money at the moment. Shit i hate to say this but yea i know im not going to love the outcome of the job but for now i cant stand watching my baby damaged and it hurts me evry time i get in the car.....
The shop is located in the infamous "junk yard" by met stadium ..... Nowonder why it looks xtra ghetto
Ill keep you guys posted on the result with some photos....... Car will be done by wed

Took my baby to the car wash and then went home and took off the FX35 badge and Nismo badge from the rear tailgate. Shaved and looking good!

Short update of my car getting a surgery..... Im working so i asked me frind to snap me pic of the fx being worked on
What ya think guys ? Crappy job? Too much bondo? Keke i dunno anything about body .....

Doesn't look too bad, but I'm curious as to why they didn't tape up the surrounding black trim to protect it? Their doing all that sanding really close to the black trim. Either their going to fade it or scuff it up if not careful.

Sorry I'm just picky about those kinds of things. I feel if I'm paying money as a customer I have a right to make suggestions or complain if I'm not satisfied. lol sorry for the rant.

I'm not going to lie, I'd be pretty damn hesitant taking my car to a place where the tools they user are in a milk crate sitting on an old wheelchair... :eek.:
