What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Not a what did i do to the fx but rather what did i do for the FX.

Renewed supporter subscription today :smile (2):. The addiction for the FX continues.

Haha ya, maybe I should make a toggle switch so whenever someone is riding my a** I can put a spot light on them :D

You got a point there. There are times I wanted to do that, but I think it's a REALLY BAD idea and DEADLY. Please don't let the into your head :smile (2):

Dropped my fx off at the body shop. A lady backed into my door while i was parked. Getting some extra things done whule it's there, so i'm not that pissed

Spent 3 hours last night waxing my 24's, cleaning my 20's and putting/removing/storing my wheels. I torqued my adapters to 100 ft-lbs and my wheels to 90 ft-lbs or torque vs 80 ft-lbs recommended for OEM wheels to be on the safe side. I check both my adapters and wheels after 5,000 miles. Gives me an excuse to take the wheels off to clean the barrels.

I also wax the inside of the barrels, makes cleaning the brake dust easy.

Funny thing too, is that after my test drive to ensure TPMS reads, I found that I no longer rub at all, even at full turns! It was late, but I think it has to a plastic piece in the wheel well missing a plastic push clip that I put in when I put my winter wheels on. No rub on full turns! I'll have to test again in a parking lot to see if I wasn't just dreaming.

Also, as a FYI, here is what I do for spacer/adapter installs:
1) use a stick to push down the brake pedal and push the seat forward so I can torque the adapters.
2) always do the star motion to tighten.
3) when putting the wheel on, torque to spec when wheel is OFF the ground. This 100% ensures centering of the wheel (if you have hub centric) and lug nuts.
4) I re-check torque when wheel is on ground.

Good time to clean brake calipers too.

24's vs 20's, pictures are dull because I'm waiting for the wax to dry before I polish it.

You sir, have excellent taste in wheels. And by that I mean your taste is very similar to mine... :p

Ha, nice.

I really went through buyers remorse on the 24's, going through the headache of fitment of wheels, tires and the 24's just being too big. I finally got the 24's to work and would now always go 24 if I can get enough sidewall.

I'm in the search for 21's, so I can go 21's in the winter and 24's in the summer. I blame Lance.
