Installed Nismo S Tune on my FX45. I came out from the Invidia and jumped on the Nismo ban wagon. I'm very impressed the 45 seems like it can breath much better. Very smooth flow through the exhaust hardly no back pressure/hesitation. Below, is the tips in comparison

Awesome! What is the sound difference inside and outside, drone etc? So many people talk invidia and not so much nismo so this is interesting considering I've heard nismo before and was impressed.

Turns out I'm coming to Chicago not the last weekend of January, but first weekend of February, so February 3, 4, 5 and 5th is a Sunday. I'm hoping we can meet up then! 
So I got the siphon pump and it worked really really well!!! :rock:
so easy, just put in in the dipstick and pump a few times and oil came out and you could control the flow so I got it into the small container to the top without any spills! I drove around a long time before pumping the oil out. Hardest part was just cleaning up the pump after by running water through it etc, but I cut the tubes to like 1/2 foot instead of like 3 or so feet on each side so next time cleaning and using it should be even easier.
Anyway, so I was actually very surprised how dark it was.
Infiniti recommends every 3,750 miles or 3 months. My dealer uses conventional valvoline oil with Nissan oil filter.
This oil has 3,842 miles on it and almost 2.5 months on it. My car has 49,543 miles on it.
what do you guys think? I'm going to have blackstone labs also do the TBN test (So $35 total), so it will be interesting to see what they say. Any predictions!??? We'll see who is most accurate! hahaha

I know I change my oil at about the same mileage and it always looks fairly clean on the dipstick, but when you drain it, it looks much darker. I might send in a sample during the summer. My FX will be sitting for a couple months this winter when I'm away so there will not be many miles put on it for a while. Oh, and as I said before I use Mobil 5w30 in both of my vehicles.
I look forward to your results..

I've been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance with a Nissan oil filter for a while now and my oil never looks anything like that after I change it every 3750 miles. Mine always looking like a light yellow color from the day I put it in except slightly darker. I always bring my own oil to the dealer. Next oil change in March I'll send an oil sample off to blackstone labs too. I actualy still have mine but have been putting it off lol:

It's caused by excessive idling which leads to gasoline diluting into the motor oil. I idle alot and noticed my motor oil does tend to smell like gasoline alot when I pull my dipstick out and sniff it (insert joke here).

sweet! Yep I have the same bottle. Going to the post office here in a few minutes to send it.
Aaron, a few guys have opened up Nissan oil filters and found them to be just like fram filters. They cost nothing at the dealer too.
Mobil 1 extended oil filters seem to be best from what I read...meaning extreme cleaning 99% but yet without any performance sacrifice. I've read that Purolator PureOne oil filters clean the best (>99%), but the big concern with this filter is that the oil restriction since the filter element is so DENSE. If you have a high performance engine, you are better off with the more expensive Mobil 1 oil filters since the cleaning is almost the same, but without any sacrifice in performance (oil slowdown). Mobil 1 extended oil filters have much less resistance to oil flow. This is also why some have mentioned some noise at startup while using the PureOne oil filters because of the dense filter.

yeah going to mention it, so we'll see.
I use the OEM oil filters like Aaron does with my Mobil 1. I think the only other filter I would use is Amsoil besides OEM.
Jonas I would bet your dealer carries Mobil 1, every Nissan/Infiniti Dealer I have been in carries it. I know the Nissan Dealer near you had when I got my oil change there.

Yes, I checked with the dealer, they have mobil 1 for $8.99/quart or Ester Nissan oil for almost $20/quart. I asked if I could bring my own oil and they said sure, so I bought
Pennzoil Ultra Full synthetic that came out to $5.51/quart.
and got the Mobil 1 extended oil filter:

We'll try this Ferrari oil at $5.51/quart and Mobil 1 extended oil filter that cleans 99.9% and supposed to last 15,000 miles without hindering oil flow and see how it looks at 5,000 miles....if it looks somewhat dirty to me then I'll send it off for analysis at 5,000 miles otherwise wait longer and then send it off and compare.

hehe, Purolator has been mentioned the last few posts....did you miss it? ... How it's the best dense cleaning to the smallest gram particles, but the caveat is the oil flows through it slower than the rest.
Heh, I didn't go back far enough. That's what i get for posting from the road... :p
