What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

What did I do??
Well, today I finally uploaded a shot of my 08!! Took me far too long! Wasn't too happy with the photoshoot...so I only put the one for now but more sometime soon!!
Enjoy! (even though it looks just like so many other Graphite FX's - I'm diggin it!)

nice!

Thanks, G. It was both harder and easier than I expected. "A chore" is actually a perfect description. Not complicated, just awkward and incredibly time consuming. Hopefully it will be worthwhile!

Trust me on this, working in a cold garage is better than a hot one. When did my rear sway install, I had a couple space heaters pointing at me, since I was basically half out of the garage.

Since Old Man Winter decided to skip Chicago this year, I took advantage of the amazing weather to first of all, replace my driver side fogs with 4350K Halogens (didn't want it to be much whiter since they are afterall foglights). It was a bit easier than I thought to get to the fogs from the front wheel-wells. I did have to take off some trim.

Since the trim was already off and I was already under the car, I decided to install my OEM Aero Front Chin. I must say that this completes the look for me. Something about the front end was 'too sharp' (profile) for me. Yes, it would look neater if it was a molded piece but I still really like it. Yes, a slight drop (or 22"s) may also help but I am far from that now. Perhaps one day I will feel the urge to do so. :)

Good Job Tim. I mean BIG Job. Let's hear it running if you're that far yet

I'm all done, but I tapped the alternator connection with my ratchet this morning and blew a fuse. I just got back from the dealer but got Shanghai'd by parenting before I could replace said fuse. First startup will have to wait for tomorrow.

Btw, failing to disconnect the battery before this job cost me $64, a trip to the dealer, and however long it takes to swap the positive terminal on the battery.

I don't even have a garage. All my auto work is done in my driveway. :(

Nice one Phil... Gotta check it out some day.. Never seen one in person with just the front lip, so I wasn't sure if I wanted the same thing..

You will want it, believe me !!
Just get it Ian

Looks good ChiPhi:top:

Just need to see how it looks in person without the remaining aero...if it looks front heavy/sloping etc..
What I really want is some coilovers Wayne... I'm hoping Kenny (da Mayor) gets in touch with his buddy at XYZ suspension and gets some info for the 2nd gens.

I went back and forth on it as well, ask Jonas. :) No regrets. In this picture, it looks a bit disjointed since I am really close to it. Stepping further back, it really looks almost seamless and OEM. Worst case, a year from now I get tired of it, there are a couple of small screw holes to patch.

It actually looks more balanced to me because I always thought my 50 seemed to 'lean back' and it's snout was a bit sharp as compared to my '06.

I say go with the whole kit.

Still under consideration but the thing is I, like a few folks on here, am a not big fan of the side/door pieces. And I really like the OEM mud flap look and unfortunately, it is an 'either/or'. Still have the flexibility to add if it looks weird to me later.
