What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Yesterday already snowed in Michigan...just didn't stick. The rims and tires look awesome....way way better than I would have thought...it's actually a nice change. The tires look sooo mean and ride is sooo smooth. I can't wait for snow now.

Jonas, how about a pic of your ride with her winter boots on?

Snowed at my place yesterday also, but not too much. I was still glad my FX had her boots on and awd, otherwise I could not of driven out of my back yard and up the snow-covered grassy slope

LOL....looks like someone didn't want to get out of his nice warm house! hehe

Wheels look great. Hyper silver type color looks awesome and will be easy to clean and hold up to salt well.

Tires, even from a side profile look mean.

Look at that clearance on the calipers! Barely!

Hopefully your rotors wear out soon so you can get some slotted and/or cross drilled rotors=) I like DBA, two piece if possible...

Where's the wheel lock! =)

Yeah...I can't really fit my finger between the caliper and the wheel....it's definitely very tight. Yep, no wheel lock...no wheel lock on the originals either. I figured if someone is going to steal them, they will steal them no matter what...and that is what insurance is for.

Haha...when I need upgrades....I know I'll be asking you guys what I should for next time! I hope I get more life from them though....because I got my eye on a $500 radar detector, invisicord, front lip, auto start, slamming's intake hopefully in 2012, exhaust, etc etc etc and they are all very $$$$....I thought I was getting a reliable vehicle so I wouldn't be spending money.......HA

Looks really good Jonas. When you get your radar detector, make sure to use a nice mirror mount; I've got the blendmount. I can make you an invisicord in 45 seconds and save you the $20 or so they're asking for.

Rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 on

undressed the fx today and showed some love, i.e installed: fumoto valve with nipple, replaced mobil 1 with K&n 1006 oil filter, mobil 1 oil.. Its so easy taking off the bolts on the underbelly plastic with milwaukee impact driver :).. Also really odd how i lost almost 1qt of oil..

I am about to buy new rotors and pads for my 50 any ...was going to buy all stock but wouldnt mind buying slotted and/or cross drilled
but i dont know of any. any suggestions?

stoptech makes them now, don't know about slotted but they do have drilled. if you want to dig around I think there are a few good alternative pads too, might find an upgrade in ebc or something, but honestly even the stock akebono pads are pretty good, rotor upgrade I'd suggest if you really want an upgrade is to go to a 2 piece rotor. there your going to spend a lot of $$ but also a lot of performance difference.

I think there a few other manufacturers also now making 2 piece rotors, haven't researched all of them but if you want a big improvement over stock I'd say to look at 2 piece rotors.

thank you i will look around.

After quietly rounding up parts. I am installing H&R springs, spacers and rear sway bar today. GTSpec STB is also on the way. Looking forward to some improved handling!

Cleaned 24's, even the inner barrels like Handy_Andy. Then cleaned the bbk and inner wheel wells while I was at it.

20's are on and look tiny... Psi was 30 so put in 34. Max psi on the winters are only 44.

Put 2" hitch ball on to get ready for a tow.

Went out and looked at her (FXs) naked (bumperless) butt and sighed. 2 weeks without the bumper and another 2 most likely...

I like how you clarified it was the FX's naked butt.

I feel your pain man, do it once do it right, then drive it........

Yeah but on a good note I cleaned up enough crap in the garage to keep her warm in there. Once I'm completely done I'll post up in the "garage thread"
