What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I took the wheels off, load them into my mini van and get to Discount Tire to get them spin balanced. Aaahhh, got them back at 8:40 am decided to clean the inner barrel of the wheels too. :tongue (2):

Every time I have my wheels off I try to clean the barrels also. Especially with now the GTR's collect dust in all the little crevices.

Do you put any sort of protectant on them Andy?
 
I've always heard poor boys is more work than it's worth. Depends what kind of wheel design you have. They are all pretty much the same though. I use wheel armour because it came in a package I got.
 
Attempted to paint my grill today. Have several coats (Kyrlon) and waiting to put my clear coats. Hopefully pictures up in the next few days

not the best picture quality...garage lighting sucks. Overall it came out fine. I didn't go into it thinking it would be perfect or something i wouldn't have to touch up at some point in the future. Overall i'm happy with the result

Nice, flat black? So you mask the emblem instead of taking it off? Hehe, I see the ball up blue tape in the box. If it was masked, you need to mask it again for the clear coat.

I used Wheelwax ffor a few years then tried Poor Boys Wheel Sealant. I found the Poor Boys to be much better protection for our harsh winters with salt. I found it a bit easier to buff than Wheelwax. I always put a couple applications on the inside barrels each year.

Same here, using wheel wax for awhile now. I will try Poor Boys Wheel Sealant when I use up the Wheel Wax. Thanks Jonas & Wayne.

Yes, they are Nitto NT420S. On a scale of 10, I would give it a 7.5 because of a bit noisy to my liking. Many said they're quite, but I guess it all depend on what their tolerances are and what their experiences with other tires they have in the past. More than likely, I'm not going to buy them again unless they're super cheap. I paid $192 for 285/40/22.
 
Had the Manta Ray installed yesterday by Slamming45. What a difference, no bogging at lower rpm's like I had with the JWT just smooth like butter.

Hey andy what do you use to put the Wheel Wax on? I got it but didnt check if it came with like a little wax pad or not

Just a piece of rag and wipe it on, let it dry and buff it off.

My guess it is ok with regular car wax too, but it more than likely not formulated to with stand the tough brake dust. Just have to reapply more often if using regular car wax.
 
I've never heard of Poor Boys Wheel Sealant. I've got to check my local parts stores (in VA) to see if they carry the product. I'm not trying to pay S&H from Amazon to order.
