What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

that lug nuts garbage, don't use it on another stud or you'll start stripping that too... the stud looks like it can be saved... sometimes a clean lugnut will do it but you're also risking ruining another lug too, best way to clean it up is a small triangle file... def looks like airgun damage

But the nut threads just fine onto all other studs. I wonder if I can order just one nut.
 
I'm sure you can get just one, might not be a bad idea to grab a few extra & throw them in the hatch with the tools.

if it threads on well then I guess you can use it, whenever I see the leading edge chewed up like that I'd replace it. of course seeing it in person & feeling how it engages may change that opinion, if it looks ok then maybe it is I guess... I'd order a replacement
 
Yeah, I wish you could see it in person, it's really weird. I was able to thread it on and torque it down just fine. Good idea to grab a few extra if I can find them.

Bear in mind that a nut will thread onto a stud with all but two threads stripped completely out. It's working mechanical strength may be cut by 80%, but it will thread on perfectly...
 
How much did you pay for it? I always wanted one but don't feel like paying close to $400 bc that's all I see them for

Just debadged the trunk lid smoked rear lights. Next up taking care of the chrome rims going all black then Megan adjustable coils
 
yesterday i changed the rear diff fluid simple drain and fill + diff transfer case. I also gave a full oil change synth only.

I'm good on maintenaince. just need new tires before winter.. maybe some new pads and rotors as well.. i think the cheapies the dealer put on are almost done..

Any good deals on pads/rotor combos? how about good deals on a good all season tire? and recommendations?
