What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Nismo install completed today. It's everything everyone said it would be and more. I would even venture to say there may be a hair more low end :)
Cannot wait to hear your beast! I found that after my Nismo install I had a large kick in the butt right after 4100rpm.

Congrats!

latest Megan adjustment may go lower now that i know how to do it in about 30 minutes for all 4 corners

Impact wrench helps immensely. It took a bit loger the first adjustment a few days ago-I was confused :)

My wife thought i was joking when i told her i was finished

how low can it go without needing fender rolling?? I have no idea-It is ok to tuck the tires somewhat in the front??

Are you running spacers? You will find out RE: rubbing BUT you don't want to catch the rears on the inner metal edge or it will slice up your tires, rolling will prevent that. Front can tuck to a point.

no spacers stock wheels

hmm i may have to break down and rent one of those rolling fender tools.. Anyway to do this without that special rental tool?

W/O spacers you should be fine regarding contact points. There is the baseball bat rolling method but the hub mounted unit is so much better as it makes heating up your wheel lip paint easier so it doesn't crack during rolling.

Finally switched my HID bulbs to the ones the FX came with. Boy that was a pain in the a**. I don't understand why Infiniti makes it so hard to change something that simple.

Those clips are a nightmare. I remember the first time I did it, I messed up the clip somehow and the bulb came loose 6 months later. I thought it had burnt out already.

The funny thing is that I had an easier time with the drivers side bulb which is real tight in that area since the air filter is there. The passengers side was a pain even though I could stick my hand in there.

first time was a hassle too, but taking off the wheel arch plastic under the foglights, gets you right into the headligh housing..

Dropped off wheels for rash repair.
Yours were painted not PC'ed right? Just the stock color paint?
That kinda sucks because not only do I get the extra strength of PC, I also got some touch up paint. Haven't used it though as the paint still looks black where I have some rash. It's weird.

It sucks, the repair guy is good but I am almost positive that the match won't be dead on. If the match is bad I am considering repainting all four in a known hyper silver so if I do come into contact with anything touch up will be a paint code that can be found, not in the GTR mystery gunmetal mix......if the OE GTR gunmetal does go the center caps and lugs will need to be doctored up as well. :frown:
