What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

The driver side is very straight forward, but the passenger side is much more time consuming since there are more wires and hose to move out of the way to wiggle the cover off, plus I ran into a couple stubborn bolts and at a hard to reach position.

Only one side is done on mine, I think the passenger side. I think the drivers side on the VK45DE is the "harder" side.

Ahhh! Went to look at the Hyundai Elantras with nav/push button start. 40mpg hwy... then I washed the FX when I got home... eek!

yeah they just up there engine to a 5.0 I just wished they would not try and copy major car brands and do there own thing, then they would be a little bit more sucessful.

Every Hyundai always looks familiar to me, then I realize I already saw it on the road before but made by another brand.

If Hyundai didn't reverse engineer competent car builders' designs they would be nowhere. Remember the 90s? That was when they were designing their own products...

They missed the plate holes on my last trip in so I said screw it and painted out the lower valence. Painted up to the edge of the black well trim on the side and left the fins and opening under the grill black. Still getting used to it.....

Close up of edge trim to well. I want to black out another 3/16" so it visually matches the trim above but its close.

 Looking good brother. I can live with the way the molding is now. I like how you leave the lower center bumper black. Nice touch.

Yeah, I thought leaving the center open would break help break up the color.

that tc6 grille looks amazing with your setup , super thumbs up and a high five! :five:

Thanks brother - The grill is still one of my favorite mods, Proud to sport TC6 gear..... =)

Normally I'm not a huge fan of painting the lower valence, but in your case it simply works so well. Nice job!

I really questioned doing this as the whole trim package always seemed a bit forced and looked "plastic" to me. Again breaking it up with the lower opening staying black and painting up to the well trim helps IMO.

Thanks man!

I just finished waxing. 2 coats of ICE, she is shiny!!, conditioned all plastic parts, wheels, now to plasti dip the grille.

That is Hotness Logan !!!
