What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Infiniti nailed the exhaust note on the FX's, I like the beefy after market system, I miss the OE sound....
So true Lance. I'm totally with you (just like the JBT BBK)
I too, at time miss the OE "zing" and love the after market roar.

Bought the Audiovox AS9233ST Car Prestige Add-On Security and Remote Start Upgrade to Factory Keyless Entry from my cousin.

Now trying to find time to get it installed.

Will give me remote start and alarm using ONLY the factory OEM I-Key, or the additional remote start remote (which I won't use).

I'm also adding on CarLink, which will let me get 2-way on my Smart Phone, with $29.99/year service charge.

Can't wait. No extra keys, but add on alarm and remote start? Priceless.

Crutchfield gives the best description.

I really like the remote start from OEM key, which I believe can be programmed from a viper remote start as well, but the problem is the OEM key distance is horrific...only works if you're across the street basically. I need one that will work when I'm inside my work so I can start it a few minutes before I get in (and confirmation light that it did start is nice - or confirmation that it is off - you wouldn't want to accidentally think your car is off when it's actually running even though most have a auto shutdown after awhile). I had thought about using the OEM key a lot and investigated it with shops, but haven't been able to find a shop that would extend the range. Starting it when I'm 20 seconds from getting into it defeats the purpose for me at least. Sure if you are at home in the morning, that would work, but my car is in the garage, so that defeats the purpose too. For me remote start is good when leaving work or when you are out somewhere and you plan on getting into your car sometime soon and being able to start it a few minutes before getting in. Just something to consider if this is #1 priority for you as well. Another thing to consider is you can get the viper/python and then not have an extra key, but just start it from your smartphone....you'd have that 2 mile range plus all sorts of confirmations. Oh wait, I think you mentioned you will have this anyway! nevermind! lol

Jonas -- good points. And yes, CarLink gives me unlimited range, as long as their is cell reception for both my car and my smartphone.

I just don't want to add another remote, and this solve my problem.

I'm glad you brought this up so I can share that you can go DEI, like a Viper type system -- you can get the Avital system that does exactly what the Audiovox does.

Avital is DEI, so you can use SmartStart, which also adds on GPS tracking. Thing is, the yearly cost of this starts at $49.99 up to like $99.99/year vs CarLink's 29.99/year.

So if you want Viper SmartStart, get the Avital. If not, get Audiovox.

Avital is a better brand name than Audiovox, but both have proven to be reliable so I don't hesitate recommending either.

Just bought a Recaro seat for the FX, but not what you're thinking.

Couldn't wait any longer for the Britax Frontier 85 SICT.

Beautiful Child's seat, very classy and safe for the young-un.

I was messin around with my FX today and had not tried to drive on my car ramps since I put on my Aero front spoiler.
So I figured I should check it out, drove up on them with no problems.

Hey Wayne I just noticed something. How come you haven't done any lighting mods to her yet? :-)
Actually Aaron, truth be told, it just never interested me to do that.

Thanks Ed, the spoiler is definitely a great mod and it's available through Infiniti.
As to the lawn, I fertilized it a few weeks ago and I'm cutting it twice a week now

I wish I could keep my engine as clean, , you have seen pics of it, it is filthy.

But it has some bling on it now ..... Always a clean ride Wayne... Hey take a lot of pics of your car this weekend when you see Jonas, all angles of the car... I'm considering the lip after my wheels come in, if they ever come in.:frown:
