What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Also one of those non washers. She sits most of the day in a cold box anyway. Got some Vegas residue on the glass & wheels have more potential, but with a dust broom there and back and a couple squirts of mothers cal gold after the trip, it's actUally still pretty clean. I think I'm going on 2 mnths.

Removed the leatherique today after leaving it on for > 48 hours because it was too cold. It was averaging 40 here. Bucket was dirty afterwards, but still think it can do a lot better; will wait for one of those 90+ days to do it again. but nice to finally drive again after not being able to since Friday because of this. Also Friday did a wash and did the final preparation for winter: The black paint sealant (twice) and poorboy wheel sealant (twice) on Friday. Last week Friday/Saturday did wash, clay bar, wax cleaner, wax polish, and NXT wax. I'm done until the spring!

^^^sounds like you are prepared for the long cold winter.
All I have left to do is clean and lube all my weatherstripping.

I am still undecided whether to go with Lexol or Leatherique for my leather conditioner.

Dropped off the FX at the dealer today for some maintenance and for them to check our some more noises. Got a '10 g37 loaner...with no sunroof. I didn't think you could get a G withoht a sunroof.

I've only used lexol but I've heard great things about leatherique. I think i'll give it a shot when I'm finished with the lexol.

I've got to do mine as well. Wife says I only detail the exterior and never the interior.

I cleaned the crap out of my FX!!! Condition the seats, got it all sparkly on the inside and dusted all the vents. Took about 2 hours. Loved every minute of it. Love the clean smell.

Kind of afraid to ask but what exactly is "Vegas residue" composed of?

Put her to work hauling tools, checking on sites, and delivering checks. Logged 82 miles today! :eek.: (That's about 400% the commute of an average day.) Tomorrow she goes to school with the wife while I put together a remodeling estimate and replace an A4 wheel bearing. Yeehaw. :frown:

(yesterday) I Cleaned the inside and used Leatherique on the seats. Let it sit for about 6 hours in the heated garage cranked at like 75deg. Cleaned the oil off and used a warm damp cloth and wiped them down. Looks amazing. Def a huge difference. They feel brand new and smells new. Plan on doing it again in the spring time when its really hot out.

Leatherque actually recommends 24-48 hours to let it sit on with the use of a hair dryer for best results. I also recommend soaking the creases with this stuff and use the hair dryer on high on those areas. It'll get rid of the creases.

ordered the usa spec pa15-nis, bought an ipod classic 80gb, a cheap ipod holder, meguires interior detailer, mobil 0W30 fully synthetic oil and m1 oil filter, changed the wiper blades, some seafoam, took out the rear passenger seat and vaccumed all that nasty dirt sitting underneath, took the 18" to DT yesterday, tpms out, shipped the wheels to Audifox, ordered the fram cabin air filter, checked the torque on all 4 wheels and air on the tires, and now i am broke and back to work....:iS::tup:

Went to get pricing for rust protection underbody, front, wells, and year lifetime warranty $249 winter special, and tints for front 35 for $80. Now thinking if I will do it.
