What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Made a shopping list to different locations just so I can drive and drive some more. What used to be a chore is now FUN:smile (2):

Think of it this way, you could have been raking leaves or cleaning the gutters:wink (2):
haha. thats this weekend. Changing some door hardware in the pad, filling some holes & getting some bamboo window treatments ordered.

Went for a nice drive in the FX along the lakeshore. When I got home I got my torque wrench out and did a final torque check (80 ft/lbs) on my winter rims because I put them on a week ago.

plasti dipped ski racks (Silver/black -> black/black). However i dropped one when putting them away :(. now time to redo it all over again....

^^^ can't go wrong with the Blizzaks and OEM 18s for winter. I run the same combo.

Here's something I made this week.
Rather than haul out a big trolley floor jack or use the factory jack to change my rims, I made up a block to fit at the same place the factory side lift points are for jacking up the FX.
It is machined to fit over the ram of my 8 Ton hydraulic jack and straddles the body lips at the lift points. It is a breeze to jack up the FX and this is very portable.

The Front lip looks really good on your ride! I get closer to purchasing it everyday.

nice jack
:smile (2): Thanks Pat and Dave. Really if you can't do this yourself, any small machine shop can machine one for you and it should not cost more than $30, and that should include material.
I bought the 8 Ton hydraulic jack a while ago for $20. I also use the jack itself on my Full size GMC Crew Cab.

Here are a few views of the block itself.

Rav-4

Whatcha getting next?
If its the 2010 x6 then its bye-bye for the fx (as long as its the 4.4 V8). Or it will be a 2009 M6 V10 which is the one I am pushing for. Either way its going to be a white one (WTF).
The boss is still sleeping from a 12 hr shift and Ive been dressed since 8am waiting. :mad.:
