What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I ran a wire wheel on my pneumatic die grinder inside my exhaust tips to get rid of the black carbon. Looked cool for a few miles! Might be a quick touch-up with a cordless drill before a show though. It's the first place people look when they hear my 45 start up!

I have been in Hawaii for the past 3 weeks so can't really do anything with the fx's so both of my fx's are scheduled for a good cleaning and also order license plate LEDs. They are SMD 12 led 7000k so they should be bright enough. Pictures to follow when I get back.

not exactly my fx but...

test drove a 2010 fx35 today. VERY impressed with the interior, although the exterior could still use some changes. When we got to the backroads, the salesman gave me permission to open her up and was surprised at its quick acceleration and sudden increase in noise, as it was wayyyyy too quiet driving normally. My biggest downer is that the steering feels much lighter than the first generation fx's, not 'minivan' light though.

mounted up my second set of 10.5 GTR rims (10.5's on all four corners now) and an all new set of STII 295/40's. Sitting at the second shop now having the CO's adjusted down and the new fronts spacers switched out.......

Installing Invidia gemini this morning, and look what they have done to my titanium tip.. just careless installer guy..

I was like what the f#+k man!! Damn.. it cost me $120+tax to install it.. it is definitely not worth it!!

Too bad that the scratches are on the titanium finished lip, no buffing that out. Check with Gordon for a replacement tip and tell the shop you can get a deal on it but they need to pay for the part. OR maybe Gordon can send it back to the factory for refinishing =)

Yeah Logan, it will be nice if Gordon can send that tip back to the factory for refinishing.. but well I guess this is just a bad luck.. upset?? of course.. tell the shop to pay the part? I think they wouldn't do anything regarding that issue.. They're just some bunch of disrespectful guys, will definitely not do business with them again.. when I ask a discount for the installation charges and they said that the system is piece of junk, we spent like 2 hours to install the system, in that 2 hours we can do a lot more than $120 that you paid.. what an asshole huh? I was like okay.. let me get the f#$k out here....

Nice, they sound like stand up guys  - It is so hard to find good shops and definitely easy to tell when you have found a less than quality organization......Maybe Gordon has some tips on how to easily recondition the area that was scratched?

I hate shops like that, they obviously dont know what they are doing.

what is the area code there? maybe we can call them and also complain to the BBB.
