What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Finally paid someone to hand wash the FX for the first time in HER life. I have to say, I'm not all that impressed with the result. It looks fine, but it's not much better than the auto wash, was more expensive, took about 10 times longer, and after 6hrs it's already covered with a light layer of dust and pollen... Not having a garage sucks. The interior detail though was tha-:bomb:! The inside looks/smells like new again.

You're OB. Nothing you can do. Clean for 5

Started the process of remounting my fog light ballasts after all this rain recently. Started on the passenger side and found this. To make matters worse, that side is still sitting fine on top of the bumper support. I still want to screw both into the bumper support though.

Does discount tire offer the same flat repair deal that Les Schwab does? Did you get your tires at Discount?

Finally finished mounting the ballasts and putting everything back together. Probably would have been much easier with the bumper off, but that is more work and gave me troubles in the past.

I drilled one hole in a plastic support piece about a foot above each foglight and then stuck a bolt through the ballast and then the hole and put a nut on the other side to hold it securely. Hopefully it lasts. I also ran the cords in a way that I hope will prevent any issues with water. I noticed my coolant was right at the minimum level, so I will have to find out what kind and get more of that. Already got the spare on, and the tire with the screw in the back for tomorrow.

here's a couple pics of them mounted.

Great job i got lazy with that aspect n used zip ties but after two years still holding great no water issues either. Of course i took the bumper off which i have noe mastered.

Not so funny when it happens to you huh?

America's Tire Co. fixed mine for free.
Happened about a year ago actually. I love how as soon as I get rid of the run-flats I start hitting nails and screws. Last time thought it actually lost air.
